  • Mazda 626 noisy tappets 26 Jul 2005 (Forum)
Afternoon all - my in laws have a 93K Mazda 626 2.0 (16v) auto with 94k on the clock. Car has recently been making a constant ticking noise once warmed up. The local mechanic has said it was the tappets and used a two stage flushing kit and changed the oil - this usually works apparently.
  • Mazda 2 2011 - Battery light on, battery & alternator working 9 Oct 2019 (Forum)
Hi there, I just recently bought a Mazda 2 from a private seller and after a few weeks of use the battery charging light has come on. I tested the voltages across the battery and alternator and they were both fine (12.3v and 14.5v respectively).
  • Mazda 2 - Upgrading my car (first time) 4 Apr 2016 (Forum)
I'm hoping I can sell my car for around 11-1300 privately and I'm looking to spend between 2-3.5k (possibility could stretch it a bit to around 4) on the new car and I was wondering what people would think about my options, I'm thinking Mazda 2 (07-14), polo, fiesta and corsa mainly. Any help massively appreciated.
  • Mazda - OIL LIGHT 18 Mar 2015 (Forum)
I'm a time served mechanic in the trade now 25years and just want to alert all mazda owners to the recurring problem I have seen on many mazda's of blocked oil pickup strainers. The first warning you as the driver will notice is the odd flicker of the oil light often only at higher revs.DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO PASS THIS SYMPTOM OFF AS A GLITCH....
  • Mazda 3 - Skyactiv 2.2 diesel engine-low mileage suitability 17 Apr 2014 (Forum)
However, I've come across a number of HJ comments (see links below) reassuring potential buyers that the new Mazda 2.2 Skyactiv diesel engine should not suffer DPF problems thanks to its exhaust manifold in head configuration. I have a choice between an automatic 120 PS petrol Mazda 3 2014  and a manual 2.2 150 PS diesel.
  • Mazda 626 2.0 Executve (GXi?) - Replacing my Vauxhall Vectra 1.8 (2003) 18 Jul 2013 (Forum)
This latest bill with the tyres has got to me - (I've never had tracking prooving so sensistive in my other cars) and I want to sell it.   I know of a Mazda 626 2.0l (X Reg - year 2000) with 50k on the clock that may be available - not sure if it's called an Executive or GXi.    I would really appreciate some advice please.   Would you say that the Mazda 626 would be a better car than the Vectra?
  • 2006 Mazda 6 Diesel 2.0 Sport - No Power, No Revs 11 Jun 2013 (Forum)
I took it to a local garage who informed me that my exhaust temperature sensor (BANK 1 SENSOR 1  Mazda Part No. RF7J – 18 -7GOA) was burned, hence the car was cutting the revs.     I had this replaced at a considerable cost and it’s still doing exactly the same.

  • One Careful Owner!! 26 Jul 2005 (Forum)
Went to a Mazda Event on the weekend at Knockhill. Had a laugh driving RX-8s around the circuit and driving challenges in MX-5s. Biggest topic of conversation was the unlucky people who were going to end up with all those thrashed (clutch/brakes/tyres) 'Mazda demonstation model' cars.

  • Mazda Mazda 6 (2002 - 2007) - 03 2.0 Engine cutting out - diesel 17 Oct 2009 (Forum)
The replacement filter I had bought form Mazda, was Mazda branded, not Denso, so does anyone know if the diesel filters are changed as part of a normal service? I wouldnt like to think the fuel filter in my car had never been changed at all (in 6 years) as surprisingly since changing it, the car HASNT stalled once even when idling.
  • Mazda CX-30 - Extended warranty 8 Sep 2023 (Forum)
I have been quoted around £350 to extend this for another year. I wasn't going to bother but got a call from Mazda warranty people yesterday to remind me it was now out of warranty and did I want to take out the extended warranty. It has made me think again about taking this out but should I stick to my original decision?
