New car sales hit record high, fuelled by April tax changes 5 Apr 2017 (News)
Petrol-powered cars accounted for 52.5 per cent of all new vehicles bought in March - up 2.0 per cent on the previous year - to total 295,256 registrations, while alternatively-fuelled vehicles (AFV) - these being electric or hybrid - saw a 31 per cent surge in market growth. However, while the headline stats for AFVs sound impressive, it’s important to note that they account for just 4.1 per cent of all new cars sold. “Last month saw a flood of buyers rushing to beat the new vehicle excise duty charges that kicked in at the start of April, making March the biggest ever month for the UK’s new car market," said Simon Benson, director of motoring services at AA Cars. -

Originally registerd E123 LJX, it will be sold with the existing personal plate. Dimma UK was founded in 1986 by Terry Pankhurst, as the sole UK importer of the Dimma 205 body kit. Dimma became revered in modified car circles for their project cars, including a Renault Clio with Ford Escort Cosworth running gear. Turbo Technics marketed turbocharger kits for several 1980s cars, including the Rover SD1 and Ford Capri 2.8i. -
Coys revs up Monaco with 90-car auction 8 May 2014 (News)
Heading the lots are a Dino 246GT previously owned by rock and roll legend Keith Richards and an ex-Tazio Nuvolari 1950 Cisitalia Abarth 204A Spyder. But it's not all celebrity cars - there will also be a number of important collectors’ cars including a 1980 Ferrari 512BB (above), a 1967 Ferrari 330GTC, another 1971 Dino 246 GTB and a 1934 Bugatti Type 57 Series I Ventoux (below). The red Ferrari 512BB is in excellent condition throughout and has only 69,000km on the speedometer. -
Coys breaks records in its London spring auction 19 Mar 2014 (News)
The other two cars reaching what Coys says are auction records were a 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 and a 1950 Series 1 Land Rover 80-inch, both part of the new Channel 4 series Cars (that's the working title) with Philip Glenister and restorer Ant Anstead – prices for these cars will be revealed later this summer when the show goes on air. Other important cars that went under the hammer included the former manager of The Beatles Brian Epstein’s 1964 Bentley S3, which sold for £31,000, a 1964 Aston Martin DB5 that sold for £360,000 and a 1926 Rolls Royce 20HP Barrel sided Tourer that sold for £103,720. -

Ensuring protection for pedestrians and cyclists is an important concern for Audi.
