Skoda Roomster - Roomster vs Meriva... Small MPV Back to Back Test 23 Jul 2010 (Forum)
The seating is fairly similar in comfort, though the middle "seat" in the Meriva is pretty much useless other than an armrest (rather surprising as it's an inch wider over the body), the Roomster has a 3/4 seat so can be used occassionally. The Roomster seems to have more storage in the front, though the Meriva scores with fold down picnic tables in the back. The Meriva's boot space is a lot smaller, though it has a false floor with under floor storage which is good. The Roomster has no false floor and so has a large drop to the boot floor. -

Parking contention and garage usage 12 Feb 2021 (Forum)
The developers then added a drive and garage to the proposals, and therefore, the council agreed to the new proposals with an explicit condition that the driveway and garage be used, and no parking by the household would take a space on the road. As far as I'm aware, the neighbour only uses the garage for storage. Both vehicles are small hatchbacks and the garage is wide enough for one. Is the condition the council set out something that could be enforced by the council if the matter escalated due to the neighbours behaviour? -
Recommendations - used mini MPV, wheelchair etc. 14 Mar 2018 (Forum)
Some must-haves: I'd like the seats to fold down level with the rest of the boot, and some choice of how the rear seats split/slide forward would also be good - the Panda has one bench so not very great. Some storage, whether under the boot floor or otherwise would be good I also really want a heated front windscreen in this next car, as I'm fed up of waiting 5-10 minutes for the inside to defrost! Air con would be great, though not as important. -

Kia Sorento - B & N Couriers Ltd 2 Dec 2013 (Forum)
The car had only done 35,000 and was on sale for £8,800 which seemed like a saving of 2-3k over other similar cars. Unfortunately the car was in storage in Berrick upon Tweed and with us living in the midlands that was an issue. They kindly offeerd to deliver the car down for a 3 day appraisal if we pad the 20% deposit which was refundable if it turned out to be not what we had understood. -
My Cloned Car got taken away by the Police 27 Dec 2012 (Forum)
This happened today - my car was identified as a clone via the diagnostic computer and it turns out that Admiral insurance company made a pay out on this car a few months ago. They took the car to a storage facility and are holding it until an agreement is reached between myself and the insurers. It just so happens that me and my family are all with Admiral and have been for a number of years - but I am not sure if this will work in my favour with regard to buying back the car. -

Audi 80 Cabriolet 2.6e - A few problems! 28 Feb 2005 (Forum)
You can hear a solenoid click when the up button is pushed so the switch works but there is no movement from any window. All the cars fuses are intact. 3) The button to pop the hood storage bin open doesn't seem to operate - the boot must be closed and handbrake on and I have tried all this but no luck at all? Again, all the fuses are intact. 4)The steering wheel is not quite straight when going straight ahead - about 5 degrees off. -
Rover 75 Tourer 14 Jun 2003 (Forum)
Volvo V70 pertol {owned from new / hence worst of depreciation over} and wanted something sexier / cheaper to run, but still with lots of storage space / room for dog etc. HJ suggested {'98} BMW and Merc estates, both of which would cost more / would be older / higher miles etc. Both are more hatch back than estate, with v sloping rear end. -
Two questions... 12 Dec 2001 (Forum)
I am, therefore, considering leaving the car in the garage, if I cannot sell it. 2.) Does anyone have any storage advice, bearing in mind the age and value of the car? 2.a) When leaving a car on blocks, I assume that the blocks should be positioned under the jacking points. Is it, therefore, okay to jack the car up at non-jacking points? -
