  he manully primed the fuel line and sure enough some diesel came through. He then put some more diesel in the tank and used some carb start on the air intake and got it started. This has now happened on 5 or 6 occasions all with the fuel gauge showing different levels(but all under 1/4 of a tank) i have had it towed directly to ford(where i bought it from) a couple of times and a couple of weeks ago they replaced the fuel pump, its had a service so all the filters have been changed.

  I noticed that My Clio appeared to have greater turbo lag than usual and seemed slightly down on power around 200rpm on a recent 3000 mile trip around France. I also noticed an increase in diesel knock. Could this be due to the proportion of bio diesel they now put in all French diesel? I usedwhat seened to be the premium fuels hoping to take advantage of the fact that this engine ( according to my main dealer ) has an anti knock sensor and should be able to benefit from an increase in cetane number.

  i have a renault megane 2002 diesel 1.9dci i recently added redex diesel fuel additive to a full tank of diesel two days later my service light came on with the message check injectors , is that a coincidence or is it down to the additive and why did the message come up , i took it to the garage who reset the computer and told me to come back if the message comes on again i didnt tell them i put redex in just in case it invalidated the warranty {year and engine details added to subject header, as per the 3 separate requests that you overlooked!}

  Not so much of a leak but I am struggling having replaced a lift pump which sits under the car below the fuel tank.  When I removed the existing pump and disconnect the fuel line into the pump, it was dry, no diesel came gushing out, which was good (given I have a full tank of fuel).  Having installed the new pump I noticed a leak when I started up the car.
