  After reading the BMW indicators post I was thinking about the motoring questions in life that I can never think of an answer to such as: How can you drain Castrol Magnatec from your engine when it is designed to stick to the parts inside. and After 20 years of driving why does my wife still think the clutch pedal is an on/off switch ? .............any more out there ?

  Seems to me BMW drivers get more than their fair share. Mate of mine with a 3 series gets lots when he is driving around, things like not being let out at junctions and other drivers wanting to race. As soon as he mentions the car at work out come the old cliches. Which cars do you think get most problems?

  I always find it totally amazing why drivers with attemp to drive though flood water that is deeper than the clearance under their car. On the news this morning there were videos of several cars stuck in 50cm of water or more. Gone are the days of timing chains and relatively sealed engines, cam belts, mud and stones do mot mix well.

  News article on this website "Motorists 'could be frustrated by road works' " claims (and I quote) "Drivers who are rerouted because of maintenance work could find that they invalidate their car insurance policies if they have a crash on a road they are unfamiliar with" Now that's got to be wrong - since when has a condition of your insurance been that you must not drive on unfamiliar roads ?

  hi all my renault laguna 2.2td has done 140k and just had full service but still kicks out excessive grey smoke on starting and then random huge plumes of smoke when been running for a couple of hours it starts first time every time and drives fine please help thanks

  just joined ,and i am after picking someones brains about my lights .I have changed the dim dip relay and bulbs but they only work on side and high/full not on driving .Can some body help . If this question ends up on the wrong page im very sorry. thanxs

  I drove the car to the airport no problems. On our return pick car up after two weeks in car park. Start driving home, no heating of any sorts. Air conditioning works fine plenty of icy cold air but no heat. Any suggestions about possible cause?

  I've read that with factory fit xenon lights there is a switch somewhere to change the dip setting for driving on the right hand side. So how do I find out if they are xenons and how do I access the switch please? Or do I have to get stick on deflectors?

  Also, the central console seemed to rectrict space to some extent. Otherwise an excellent car - very good to drive and goes like a train. I would be grateful to hear from anybody who has one.

  Had a test drive in a Honda S2000 on Wednesday which had me wondering just how often I would actually use the car's electrifying performance on busy UK roads, particularly in the wet. So, how often do you use the full performance/handling/load carrying/4x4 etc etc potential of your car?

  Had to repl. anti roll bar links and 1 rear susp. arm bushe again at 40k. genuine peugeots used. normal town driving by lady driver. anyone any ideas. is this just a design fault.

  I have a Auto ford estate. This is the first time it has happend. The engine cut out and was unable to start, [I had been driving for about 10 minutes and temperture was normal]..However about 10 minutes later when I tried to start the car, it started! Any ideas please? Thanks.

  I have an annoying clicking noise that comes from behind the dash. Oddly it doesn't start happening until I have been driving for about 20 minutes. Then it clicks every time I go over a bump Has any one any ideas

  Just wondering if anyone's had a drive in this car? Thinking about one to replace my Fiesta 1.25. Is the 1.2 engine painfully slow or actually not too bad in the old rev-the-nuts-off-it Italian small car way? Also had a look at the Mitsubishi Colt, £5k ish to spend.

  The yellow service warning light accompanied by the fault code "check injection" comes up on my 53 plate Renault Megane II 1.9DCi. It usually goes off after 5 minutes of driving, What is the most likely fault - any previous experiences with this?
