Toyota Auris (2007 - ) - Foot Space

I test drove the SR180 today and found that my left foot was just a bit short of space (could have been my bulky shoes). Also, the central console seemed to rectrict space to some extent. Otherwise an excellent car - very good to drive and goes like a train. I would be grateful to hear from anybody who has one.

HJ made that SR180 sound like a very good invisible runabout, rapid on the road and comfortable over urban speed bumps. My BiL has a smaller-engined Auris diesel auto that he likes but that might make me a bit impatient on the road. He is quite tall but with short legs and a long back, which gives him gyp sometimes, but the Auris fits him fine. Does have a real quality feel too although it wasn't silent when new.

Thanks for your comments Lud. There appear to be mixed opinions about this. I have looked at the Toyota Drivers website and several people, like your BiL, seem to be quite happy.
