After reading the BMW indicators post I was thinking about the motoring questions in life that I can never think of an answer to such as:
How can you drain Castrol Magnatec from your engine when it is designed to stick to the parts inside.
and
After 20 years of driving why does my wife still think the clutch pedal is an on/off switch ?
.............any more out there ?
|
Another one I thought of:-
Why do people want feedback in their steering when we have some of the worst worlds in world.................along with South Africa and Iceland according to VW.

How do you get the spider out of the door mirror ?

HB, you're gonna seriously up set HJ amongst others. We've been here before.

HB you're gonna seriously up set HJ amongst others.
Why? Surely no arachnophobe would choose to live in Asia?
HJ also says as an aside in his Focus video test that he hates leather.

Are they really so vain that they want to squat there anyway ~

Where do the coins you drop between the front seats go?

Why is it that I, with nearly 25 yrs of driving experience, need guidance from some glue-sniffing/drunk bloke to help me reverse park into a space at least 5 foot longer than my car? (By the way, one day I was so busy watching agesticlulating fool that I nudged someone's bumper!)
|
I've never experienced that anywhere other than South Africa.
Think of it as trickle down.

Why are all fire engines called Denis?
|
Why are all fire engines called Denis?
For the same reason all keyboard players are called Roland.
Our local fire engines all say M A N on the front.
Pretty obvious that there is a man driving? what did they expect? a Duck?

After 20 years of driving why does my wife still think the clutch pedal is an on/off switch ?
Mine thought it was a footrest for years until I nagged her out of it.

Where do women hang their handbags now there are no manual chokes?
(I know, I know, very dangerous stereotyping.... but.....!)

This is actually a genuine question that someone 'in the know' will probably be able to answer:
Why do grey-import Previas (Estimas or whatever) often have mirrors attached to the top of the boot door that seem to face back into the car through the rear window?
For example: www.algysautos.com/images/toyota-estima-emina.jpg
Someone must know!

A very clever, but aesthetically unpleasing reversing aid - probably compulsory in Japan.

I always imagined so that they could see their back bumper when reversing.......

Thank you Pug and Peter. Now I'm wondering why I couldn't have worked that out for myself...

* Why is 12DNRP the most common sequence for automatic cars? Wouldn't an extra "P" position before 1st make sense? (When idling at traffic lights, for example)
* What's the point of those ridiculous (illegal) so-italicised-they-look-like-Arabic number plates? Are they meant to impress other drivers AND fool speed cameras? At the same time? How?
