  My daughter is considering Leasing a Zoe, but a friend of a friend had a bad experience with hers.  She was driving along at 60mph in a stream of traffic and it just stopped!!!, luckily there was no accident but the guy behind her was non too pleased to say the least The Renault dealership could offer no explanation, so she has rejected the car.

  hi all just want some opinions please.  bought a 2004 1.6 vauxhall astra twinport. when driving the car,upto 50 mph the car has a little judder.after 50mph the car runs great. the car starts first time and idles normal. the engine management light is on(continous).  could my car have a faulty coilpack...any help appreciated. thanks.
• Rover 25 - rubber / burning smell 3 Jun 2015 (Forum)
  Their is a smell of rubber or burning type smell when starting car in morning asnd running engine for about five minutes.  The rubber  smell is there before I drive the car. I noticed the rubber smell after I had a new Cat exhaust fitted to the Rover car and not before the cat exhaust was fitted. Or could it be the clutch ? Any ideas anyone out there ?
• Ford Focus - high revs 31 Mar 2015 (Forum)
  focus mk1 1.8 zetec petrol occasionally revs high to 4000rpm when declutching; does not drop back to tick over and car will drive/ accelerate  with no throttle applied! Eventually (10 miles or so) engine will return to normal. All quite disconcerting. When running 'normal' at cruising speed engine will occasionally feel as if it is misfiring for a split second.

  Last year I had a complete new clutch and DMF replaced About 5,000 miles later the clutch as started slipping when the car as warmed up, it's fine when cold and I've also noticed oil leaking from the gear box. What is the likely cause of this. It's not my driving I did 100,000 miles on the original clutch Thanks Wayne

  Baiscally iv been looking for a car for self drive hire use and these guy offer a good deal with insurance and maintaince included. www.mercleases.co.uk something does not seem right about these guys, could this be another one of them fraudsters that make you pay a doposit and they dissapear with the money Like the fraudsters from synergy manchester a couple of years ago.

  Hello, My cars Tensioner from the timing belt sheared and after replacing with a new one, it has snapped again. Please help me with some advice as this is really driving me nuts and the mechanics seem not to tell me any convicing reasons as to why the bolt keeps on breaking.

  The heater isn't  working, I leave it running for at least 15/20 mins in the morning to demist and when I get I  the car it's barely warm, I then drive 5 miles to work and it still doesn't, get warm. Anybody have any ideas? Many thanks

  Hi My car's gears are fine in the morning but after about 30 mins of driving they go really stiff and it's very difficult to change gears.  The clutch isn't slipping or anything, just that gear selection is very tricky. But when I leave it to cool down it's back to normal.

  Hi All, I have a Volkswagen Polo 2000 and this morning as I was driving, the power just died and the car would not start but I left it for a while and when I tried to start it again the engin turns over but it doesnt start but its as if there is a backfire but from the engine compartment.

  Radio flicking on and off for a few times when start car - sometimes also does it when been driving for short while - the flicking on and off also seems to trigger central locking sometimes - they seem to 'click' in tandem with each other ..........??

  Are they any good ? How reliable are they ?   I hevent had the chance to test drive one but I have mixed views about it.   however, I do like the fact that some have climate control, automatic, sat nav and cruise control. potentially not a bad buy second hand.

  Hello I have a ford galaxy 2.0 petrol When driving at low speed and the engine struggling a bit it has developed a missfire. It starts fine and ticks over as normal when you get the revs up the missfire doesnt happen. When it first started i changed the spark plugs just wondering of any ideas next.

  Havng taken the advice of The forum, (thanks to all) and really looked at Volvos, and tried a few, with a very good dealer without obligation, ( I said I wanted up to 1 year old petrol), was allowed  a drive in a diesel s40, and an s60. Gave details for the future should they have a rare petrol version available will get in contact. Till then , as car tax due, have paid and will use, as nothing else really ticks the boxes.
• Ford Transit Connect 75 - Front end rattle 11 Jun 2014 (Forum)
  When driving i get a sort of rattle from the front end its not the engine as no rattle when just reving the engine it is allways at the same revs in each gear which is about 40 in 4th and 50 in 5th  (unlucky on the island) no air leaks cant find anything wrong with turbo  Maybe gearbox or clutch any idears ???

  I have family coming over from NZ later this year and want to hire a car, but the one doing the most driving is 87 years old. There seems to be a limit of 75 on some of the rental websites but some are fairly vague over age. Just wondering if any one knows different. Thanks for any help.  Sparky 100.

  Got a taxi from the airport in Amman, (jordan) It is a fixed price and has not changed for years, Undertaking, cutting up on inside outside,driving above the speed limit only feet from the car in front, last minute braking, the works, did wonders for my heartrate! it was a hyundai sonata (i40) 2.0 turbo. since looked it up, 274 hp! WANT ONE!

  just bought peugeot 307 as a run around 2 days ago last night the 2 dashboard lights came on  first the car sliding about (maybe ABS) and then shortly after the RED STOP light....... worried about driving to a garage to find out whats the error or even worse is the lights a serious problem....any ideas please
