Mobile speed camera on M180 6 Mar 2009 (Forum)
Afternoon all Yesterday afternoon (sat 21st) I was motoring eastbound on the M180 and in the process of overtaking saw maybe too late a mobile camera van on top of one of the police patrol vehicles only mounds. The back windows were open so I guess it was in action. I estimate my speed to be between 75 and 80 mph measured by GPS. Are the police allowed to do this as I saw no warning signs apart from at the bridge repair roadworks several miles earlier and am I likely to be recieving a ticket? -
Speed cameras are highly visible 21 Oct 2008 (Forum)
Why do so many people get caught by speed cameras? After all, they're qute visible in their yellow colour and there are usually advance warnings. Speeding (mostly excl cameras) Vol 41 25 Mar 2006 (Forum)
Is it the case that if they have such a hazy recollection of the simplest parts of the Highway Code that their recollection of the more complicated parts is similarly hazy? What can or should be done about it? Is it sufficient that they will eventually be caught by a camera at a point where they thought they were doing the right speed limit, and they will buy themselves a copy of the HC?
