Rare Aston Martin DB4GT Lightweight sells for £2.4 million 11 Dec 2019 (News)
Delivered new to HRH The Prince of Wales, who drove it for 23 years, and built to his bespoke specification, the car sold for £235,750. Ferraris also sold well, with a 2001 550 GTZ Barchetta, the sole right-hand drive version of three Zagato-bodied cars, achieved £575,000. -
Ferrari collection sells for £12.9m 23 Aug 2017 (News)
The top price went to an award-winning 1961 250 GT SWB which sold for a final $8,305,000 (£6.5m) after an intense bidding contest. Restored to concours-condition, the car was one of the last Ferraris made that was eligible to be raced at events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans with little or no modification in period. Also in demand was a 1967 275 GTB/4, which sold for $3,250,000 (£2.5m), while a 1991 F40 exceeded the estimate of $1.3-1.5m to fetch $1,540,000 (£1.2m). -
250 GT California Spider to headline Ferrari auction 15 Aug 2017 (News)
A 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider by Scaglietti will headline one of the biggest Ferrari auctions of the year. The event, which will be held by RM Sotheby’s at the Italian car maker’s Maranello factory on 9 September, promises prancing horses from across Ferrari’s seven decades of car production. Chassis number 1503 GT is one of the most desirable Ferraris of its era. -
New MG-based edition of Top Trumps 20 Apr 2016 (News)
The 30-card deck will include the MGA and MGB – but the full line-up will be closer to the event, which takes place on 4-5 June at the Northamptonshire circuit. MG car club general manager Adam Sloman said, ‘So many people have fond memories of Top Trumps, and they’re still very popular today.' New app enables drivers to get on-demand, hourly insurance 22 Mar 2016 (News)
A new smartphone app called Cuvva has been announced, which enables drivers to get hourly, on-demand comprehensive insurance for a friend’s car. Cover starts at around £7 per hour and the application is available on Apple, with an Android version is coming. Once the app has been downloaded, users input all of the usual personal details insurers ask for. -
Gordon Willey collection heads to auction 18 Sep 2015 (News)

All-Lego Ford Explorer rolls off the line 29 Sep 2011 (News)
Neither Lego nor Ford can at this stage confirm its Euro NCAP crash test rating, though it's said to be easy to reapir in the event of a collision. The car is destined to be on display at the new LegoLand theme park in Florida and part of a Ford Driving school. The park opens on 15 October. In all more than 50 million Lego bricks have been used at the new park. -
Jenson Button's Ford GT on sale 27 Sep 2011 (News)
It’s a modern reincarnation of the legendary Le Mans winning Ford GT40 of the 1960s. Just over 4,000 were made for sale worldwide. The car previously owned by Button has relatively few miles on the clock at 3,728, and has been well cared for. It’s priced at £129,995. Amongst the other cars being sold by the company are three Bugatti Veyrons , a Ferrari California , a selection of Range Rovers and a Rolls-Royce Phantom . -
