VW German Import 24 Mar 2004 (Forum)
I have a \'96 VW Vento which was imported (UK Spec) from Germany. It has no VIN plate and according to the Haynes manual some countries do not use the VIN plate. (engine codes etc etc are all valid per service book). -Can anyone confirm if this is the case with German imports as I am worried that when I come to sell it I will have trouble? -

Nissan charging to find import spares prices 14 Apr 2002 (Forum)
Nissan dealers are now charging £25+VAT just to find price and delivery for parts for Jap imports. So if you've got one of these, do as I did, and give them a list of 10 (max) items to get your money's worth, even if you don't want the other items! Strange attitude, considering Toyota now have the capability to find parts for imports at the parts counter FOC. -
Imported Japanese motors 27 Jul 2001 (Forum)
After watching Quentin Wilson with his programme of imported stolen Japanese 4by 4s I bet a few people are quaking in their boots. My neighbour has recently bought a Shogun which is an import ex Jap. He's an emotional type of fellow who is prone to bouts of depression and I keep expecting to hear a gunshot from next door if he watched it. -

MG RV8 - Researching the mileage of an imported classic car 24 Sep 2021 (Forum)
The majority of the RV8's were built for the Japanese market. Many have been re-imported back to the UK and I'm considering buying one from someone who has owned it for 17 years. It was re-imported in 2000, he bought the car in 2004 and has an MOT certificate from the previous year, but he doesn't know whether the mileage stated included its time in Japan or just since it was re-imported (the KPH/Km speedo/odometer was replaced with a MPH/miles one). -
Importing a Japn Grey Import - How ??? 30 May 2011 (Forum)
I am considering changing my elderly Corolla hatcback for a biger automatic estate car, and was wondering about getting a grey import (I already have a celica convertible grey) I was thinking of something like an Avensis estate (think they call it Caldina) or Corolla estate or something similar. I wondered how you go about getting "one to order" as most of the grey imports eem to be all sports-car type vehicles and I not something more ordinary like what I'm trying to get. -
