Ford Mondeo 2.0 diesel titanium - Snapped Fan Belt 9 May 2015 (Forum)
Ford replaced this and all was well other than a brake light which sometimes worked and sometimes did not. However in the recent hot spell I noticed that my Air Con wasn't working. I was going to drop it into the ford dealership this week, but the car pre-emped this. This morning I was about to set off.....on my first day of a new job and started the car. -
Ford Mondeo - 1.8 Preg Mondeo engine -cooling & electrics 17 Apr 2011 (Forum)
Having checked all levels and (my bad) sorted a couple of slightly low ones, car had been behaving but still no fans. 3 days later slight smell like smouldering rubber but no other drastic issues. When using the air con you can hear a fan going but was on the road so not had a chance to check under bonnet to see if main fans kicked in. 3. -
Land Rover Range Rover P38 (1994 - 2002) - Bought a lemon! Need help! 18 Sep 2007 (Forum)
When I collected the car, I paid £8000 in cash and took my new pride and joy away for the trip home. I am disabled and have limited walking ability and choose this car as its air suspension made access easy and was able to be converted to hand control at a later date. Whilst driving home the engine misfire returned within a mile of leaving the garage, and the Air Con still did not work. -
Toyota Voxy - Toyota Misfire And White Smoke On Cold Starting 30 Aug 2019 (Forum)
4/ The engine gets really hot real quick and the fan keeps coming on very frequently but I think this might be due to some air blockage in the cooling system or some leak in the radiator. 5/ The oil dipstick kind of smells of petrol. -

Ford Fiesta (2002 - 2008) - 2002 1.4TDCI ? injectors or pump 26 May 2012 (Forum)
Help we are coming to the end of our tether. We got the fiesta 1.4 tdci 3 years ago with approx 25,000 on the clock ran lovely for the first 2 1/2 years. We had wheel bearing done at 30,000 miles then water pump shortly after.A bit of the air con unit fell off last year. Then the fun began. In July 08 we developed an intermittent ticking which went when the engine warmed up.Then we started to get diesel fumes in the car.Went to two garages one said number 3 injector had gone the other said all the seals needed replacing.Had the seals replaced with the brushes/bushes and returned with a distinct lack of power.Could just get up to 70mph ticked over ok no smell of fumes but nowhere near the same amount of power.Cut a long story short car has been back and forth up to 15 times since. Its been on the ford diagnostic machine which shows no faults. The manifold cover was checked. It has been off the road since October after its last trip to the garage when they told me they had taken the injectors off to get them tested ( ? -
Seat Ibiza - Please help - rejecting a vehicle 4 Nov 2017 (Forum)
I engaged the handbrake and took my foot of the brake. The car rolled back and nearly smashed into the car behind me. Also noticed a strong smell of petrol coming from the car when getting out of it, the vent on the dash board sounded like it had gas escaping from it when the heating or air con was on. Also window wipers were not working as they should. -
Cuba Fly Drive 29 May 2008 (Forum)
a motorbike engine 3 wheeler with the driver out front wearing a crash helmet and the unbelted passengers in a pod at the back. The car we picked up on Day 4 was a Seat Altea XL 1.6 litre poverty spec but with heavenly air con. I noticed plastic blanking plates in place of the side indicator repeaters and then found that no cars in Cuba had repeaters. This was clearly no problem as I soon found out that nobody bothers to indicate anyway. -
VW - Can you trust Volkswagen dealers - a warning 30 Nov 2012 (Forum)
The dealership stated certain parts were not replaced in line with recommended schedules, and they could not give me a reason why this hadn't been done before I collected the vehicle from the purchasing dealership. In addition to this the air condition provides a very unpleasant smell when turned on. I have also recently had to pay to get the a/c unit cleaned. I then received the DVLA logbook which again showed my current vehicle to be an ex-rental vehicle , ironically the previous owner being the exactly same owner as previous vehicle.
