• FORD MONDEO 2.0l TDCI 130 bhp 2004 - pulling back/stutters 17 Jul 2011 (Forum)
  I recently bought a Mondeo 2.0l tdci 130 bhp it was runnuing ok now it semm to smoke a lot and stutters quite a bit whilst driving pulling back and lack of power and i havent got a clue. i would like some advice and problem solving.

    A colleague (I have to call him that) at work was bragging this morning about how he managed to save several minutes getting to work this morning by tailgating an ambulance with its blue lights on and getting past all the traffice in its wake. I'm pretty sure there will be something in Roadcraft or Driving about that, but I don't have a copy to hand.  Can anyone out there quote the relevant paragraph

  The Nissan dealer where I bought my Almera from also sells Suzukis and there are quite a few new shape Swifts and SX4s locally. ( I'm not keen on the current Nissan range at all).  I did drive an old shape Swift as a courtesy car eight years ago and it was horrible, but seemingly the new models are light years ahead of the old Swift and the SX4 looks good.

    It only seems to be 10 reg models. I assume its a faulty switch, so just to let anyone who drives one to check your lights as they will be under warranty and most drivers would never otherwise notice.

  I currently have fitted a well  known german brand, they havent been on a year, now there juddering badly, driving me mad. I also tried some from halfords but these rattled and clunked with use so I took them back. I have cleaned the screen properly, thanks.

  Last week I started to develop a clutch problem - then when just driving it a 100yds down the road the transmission light came on and lots of white smoke out the back and loss of power - I assume this is separated to the clutch issue - the engine seems to be 'missing' thought timing belt may have slipped but this is all ok.....Any ideas anyone?

  I mean those tyres with the minimal tread pattern, like a couple of circumferential rings and long curving grooves.  Even worse if they're fitted on a rear-wheel-drive car!

  I recently bought an 07 Fiat panda 100hp,my problem is with the brakes which seem very sensitive when you put pressure on the pedal,it makes you feel very  wary when braking  at the last minute especially in this snowy conditions,is this normal? can any thing be done to make  driving my panda more enjoyable.?regards Eric Cantona.

  Car stalls while driving, Has had new Fuel Filter & oil filters, one day its ok next day will stop, Any one out there had that problem,Ford Garage did Diognostic check and said they could try something which would cost £130 but wouldn't guarentee would solve the problem

  I am expeiencing a vibration when the car is under load for example going up a hill it comes in at aound 1800 - 2200rpm and also when getting to about 57 - 62 mph. Just had the drive shafts repaired and the mechanic says I still have the vibration. PLEASE any help

  Hi  just bought this car and got problem already.. when driving longer distance and speed about 75-80 m/h it starts shaking and then shakes on every gear till I stop car. and then when start going again it stops for avail. what might be wrong? help please

  BAS light shows up on cluster after half an hour's drive and stays on during journey (even after stopping and restarting).  Next day no light shows again until after half an hour or so.  Merc garage says it's a rare fault and needs two new pressure pads in the system.

  Has anyone solved the car insurance problem where one of your children, who is a named driver on your policy, goes away to college for term time but drives the car during holidays? Is it cheaper just to leave them on the policy, or to take them off for a refund and put them back on when required. Or is there some form of flexible policy? Thanks in advance.

  My central locking triggers itself (I know, a common Mondeo quirk, especially when cold) - doors will lock themselves at will when driving along, very annoying, where should I be looking for water ingress / electrical foibles?

  help my toyota rav4 2002 is stuck on the drive with the alarm set. The remote will not unlock it. Have tried changing the battery in the remote but still not working. I can get into the car by using the key but the allarm just keeps going off.

  I've been driving my daughter's Fiesta this week with its quick clear windscreen function. Just brilliant in these extreme conditions. The ice breaks up literally in seconds and makes the de-icer sprays and hand scrapers look like museum pieces.

  I might be doing some fairly long drives this winter, and I have been wondering whether I should take any kind of equipment/supplies (shovel, blankets etc) with me, in case of breakdown or other problems. Just wondering whether there is any equipment/supplies that you carry all year round and whether it varies during the year.
