Hello, can any one recomend a brand of wiper blade thats any good. I currently have fitted a well known german brand, they havent been on a year, now there juddering badly, driving me mad. I also tried some from halfords but these rattled and clunked with use so I took them back. I have cleaned the screen properly, thanks.

I find Bosch are pretty good.

Well done for cleaning the screen.

But it sounds like you have wiper blade arms where the tips are not parallel to the screen surface, such that they tilt the wiper. The effect is cause the blade to jump as it is pushed across the surface of the screen. Its easy to tweak them if they are not parallel.

I bought some own brand ones from http://www.wiperblades.co.uk/ an have been quite happy with them.

Go to Wilkinsons and buy some appropriate sized ones.

They're cheap enough to replace several times a year compared to the price I used to pay for wipers. However, I have found them good enough to last over a year with regular use.

Another good tip, once your blades are flush with the screen is to take the blades off and soak them in hot soapy water. The rubber goes brittle over time and this keeps the rubber soft.
Also using a cloth and soak it with malt vinegar, then wipe the blades, this will clean them of any debris and road film.Try it!
