  • New Fiat 500 4 Dec 2004 (Forum)
Anyone seen the picture of the new Fiat 500 in "Test Drive" magazine, car to be launched in 2006. has all the cuteness of the 1960's 500 but looks much more solid and safe. While I'm here, would like to say I enjoy this relatively new mag, especially their constant support for the Honda Jazz, my wife's car (keeps up the residual value).

For those who do not see The Independent, today that paper produced its first Motoring section on a Tuesday instead of Saturday, including a column from LJK. About how to drive an auto if you are used to a manual. Can't tell whether he is to be a regular - you'll have to wait till next week.

  • BMW auto-box fault 17 Jan 2004 (Forum)
A friend of mine has an automatic gearbox fault on his 1990 BMW 520. When put into DRIVE, it will go only about 50 yards before the transmission disconnects and the engine revs freely. If he then selects REVERSE the car refuses to move ……until the front end is bounced up and down a few times!

  • Insurance query 24 Dec 2003 (Forum)
Sorry to be morbid at this time of year but a relative of mine recently died and his son now has the job of selling his car. My question is will he be able to drive it under the third party all car extension clause in his own insurance policy? Usually it includes the sentence "with the owners permission" but technically as his father is deceased would this cause any problem in the eyes of the law?
