  I am Trying to find a glove compartment light/switch assembly dealer prices are daft, I do alot of night driving and the original has fallen to pieces and parts are missing. I hope someone can help, a bit trivial I know!

  Assuming we use M3, A30 and A303, where would be a good spot to stop for breakfast after about 3 hours driving? Little chef would do at a pinch and I don't mind a clean and tidy transport caff. Any suggestions please?

  Sometimes quite badly (i.e. running down the windscreen). In the cold weather, they're misted up within an hour of parking. When driving, no problem. Tried leaving aircon on and tried leaving it off - makes no difference. Carpets, seats, etc all bone dry. Nothings been spilt in there. Ideas? 57 reg mk2.

  Have a 2007 focus 1.8 diesel the speedo will not always go back to zero. when stopped it sometimes stays on 10 mph. whilst driving it is reading at least 10 mph fast. then at other times its fine???

  while driving for a while a spanner shows In dash,then there's no response from the throttle,happens in all gears when foot off throttle,I then push the throttle a few times,then seems ok again for a while Anyone had this prob

  i have a clio 172 (53 reg) 2.0 16v The problem is a screeching sound from the engine whenever it goes over 6000rpm Could it just be the fan/drive belt coming loose? or something more expensive? Your comments are much appreciated, thanks!!

  Has anyone experience of changing the outer CV boots on these cars. Is it necessary to remove the drive shaft assembly as the Haynes manual implies or can the job be done in situ and what is the easiest way? Any help would be much appreciated. John
• Volkswagen Polo IV (2005 - 2009) - 05 - 08 Warning beep but no warning light 24 Jul 2008 (Forum)
  My Polo started 'beeping' at me earlier this week. Each time there are 3 beeps and it happens every 5 minutes or so as I'm driving. There is no corresponding warning light so I've no idea what is wrong. Any ideas gratefully received.

  Having read HJ's comments last Saturday regarding Dual Mass Flywheels, is there any way to prolong their life? eg. Driving style. What are the consequences of this part failing? Are there any warning signs such as vibration or noise. Are some Diesels better than others.

  While driving near Pwllheli recently I spotted a motorist being booked by the local constabulary. The police car, with flashing lights in it's radiator grille was a grey Skoda estate. Alas I could not get the number but be warned!

  if she bought some land and used half to grow bio- fuel and the other half to build a private road (track) would she still have to pay fuel duty on the fuel she uses to drive around her own track? oh not agri- vehicle but car before any one asks... just wondered like?

  It looks like a container half full with pipes off on both sides at top. It came up before but went out within 15 minutes of around town driving. Car drove normally with no loss in power.

  I have a Vibration through the floor when accelerating but not otherwise, the vibration is the same as a car with a vibrating prop-shaft, only my car is front wheel drive. Does anyone have any clues?

  Hi there, I wonder whether the middle position of the temperature indicator on the clock is normal or is it too much? for example i'm driving only a 2 or 3 miles to the shop and it gets in the middle position on the clock that fast.Is that normal? I have Focus 2001 1.8 LX hatchback. Thanks in advance!

  I have a fiesta (52) and it has just started to misfire, this just started to happen after driving in heavy rain and I wonder if water could have got in the system, the yellow engine warning light has started to appear as well, any ideas as to what this could be?

  I've got a vectra 2.2 direct petrol running lumpy/rough on idle but ok when normal driving. Have done the basics plugs,coil pack etc ,suspect fuel pressure pump,any ideas??

  the car fills with water on the drivers side both front and rear in heavy rain. you do not have to drive the car for it to fill with water. it lets in so much water that the footwells have puddles in them. any ideas what is wrong?
