  I need the hoses that attach to the top of the coolant revivor but I have been unsuccessful in finding the correct part number. can anyone please help

  The fuel heater circuit is below the plastic filter housing (seperated by a large o-ring) and is cast into the base of the metal coolant heated base. Those with a haynes manual can see a pretty good picture of this in the diesel fuel/coolant section. The pattern of flow can be seen running between 11 o'clock and 1 o'clock (if it were the face of a clock), in a spiral pattern to maximise the heat transfer form the coolant circuit to the fuel flow circuit.

  During selling my old car, one buyer called me to the boot while the other was at the bonnet. When I went to the front, he had just finished doing up the coolant cap. He then asked to take it for a spin. Thrashed it then opened the bonnet. Proclaimed the gasket had just gone. The coolant tank was thick with black oil and trickling over. I took pictures of it.

  I’ve noticed more when it’s going down hill and I’ve reved it from 2nd into 3rd gear. It’ll puff out the white/light grey smoke. I read online it may be the coolant leaking into the head gasket. I’ve told the garage I bought it from and they filled the coolant more and said it’s all fine and it’s normal for the car to do so. Which to me a car doesn’t just blow out smoke.I’ve never had a LPG running car so don’t now if this is the norm.

  Hi, I have a 2002 MG TF 1.6L and on the way back from a holiday to Cornwall (approx 650 miles travelled over 5 days) I filled up the car at an ESSO petrol station. As I pulled off my engine warning light came on. All the oil/coolant/etc levels were fine and so was the coolant and oil temperatures for the whole journey. The car is driving fine and not misfiring etc. I rechecked all the levels the next morning and looked for anything obvious and could not find anything.

  This is really really poor on a car that it less than three years old. I would imagine that the coolant had been Fords OAT (10 year life) stuff. It sounds to me that either there is an incompaticbility between the coolant and material in the engine/cooling system, or substandard materials are being used.

They are not car literate and were initially fobbed off by dealer with the line of, "stone damage, not covered by warranty....... happens regularly!"   No steam or other smoke, coolant remains in overflow tank did not have any oil in them and no mayonnaise on filler cap or stick. Got the car towed to a Toyota dealer in Slough and will find out on Friday what the problem is. If its not too bad and driveable I will take it to a Toyota specialist nearby but am I on the right path ?
