  Driving very slowly out of a shop parking place (very slowly to cross bit of pavement), Young Lady cyclist suddenly stops inches from my front o/s wing, she was riding on the footpath.   Have a Vauxhall Omega Elite 2.5 V6 auto 1999 petrol, the problem is that the engine surges when driving, not all the time on a journey but every time I use the car, up hills more so and the on flat and the car is not under load, thanks for your time, much appreciated!!

  When I drive my  audi temp gauge sits just below 60  .if I stop in traffic  it rises to 90 and sit there untill I move again . Is this doing any damage to the car  or is this ok please help me I need to know if I have to take to garage

  I have a jag x type 05 which has recently been dying whilst driving, then picking up again. It died completely today however after 10 minutes approx it started but would not rev then died again I think the obvious thing is fuel related but wondered if anyone had experienced this before

  Ford Focus 2008 1.6 tdci zetec I have engine malfunction coming on when I start the vehicle . No loss of power or other symptoms . I can drive 100 yards down the road flick ignition switch on /off and it will clear , but if I stop and then restart the fault re appears . There is no fault codes that show on dash for this fault

  Limp mode happens rarely but car can be driven again after 15 minutes. Will a hard drive (how hard?) regenerate the dpf. problem - hardly any dual carriageway in my part of Norfolk. Can I use A roads in a lower gear?

  With the ignition.engine off and car locked, I get an intermittent, loud crackle through the stereo's speakers. The stereo is the factory fitted unit. Stereo works fine when driving. Is this a common/known problem?

  Not sure which forum to post this on, so I'll post it in both. I am 5 ft. (152cm) tall and have to drive a Toyota Avensis. Unfortunately, even with the seat as far forward as I can get it, I cannot work the clutch properly. Is it possible to move the seat further forward? Any other suggestions?

  Hi, Vw sharan 2006 2.0 tdi driver and passenger windows stoped working and sometime when i am driving both work i thought may be the electric window switch it has 4x window central locking switch so changed it still the same, any ideas what could be causing this??? Regards Zhr

  My car runs fine for a while then seems to run as if the turbo is not working but if I undo the fuel filter drain plug just a little bit power is restored. I have replaced the fuel filter but same problem now driving me mad. help....

  Hi can anyone help me I got a 1999 expert van I was driving and it just cut out there int getting no diesel to the fuel filter but it will start if I put diesel in the filter then cuts out again I even was pushing the manual pump on the filter but it don't pump no diesel up

  Bought this car last January (2013) and very pleased overall except I can't get more than an indicated 37mpg under any conditions, no matter how carefully I drive. Is this normal for this car, anyone know? Or do I need to get it checked?

  Driving along the EPS light came on, then the engine cut out and would not restart. After about an hour it restarted. Garage could not find a fault but suggested the crankshaft sensor be replaced. It was.

  while making a three point turn I noticed a whine from the steering.With the car parked and only a slight turn of the wheel left or right the whine was there. I checked the power steering fluid level and it was ok.Do I have big trouble,is it safe to drive?

If I buy a car at auction with no V5 and no tax can I drive it directly to my premises (without trade plates) to store until the V5 arrives or is this illegal?   2. Can an untaxed car be taxed by the dealer whilst in the trade i.e. between owners, or must it have a registered owner before it can be taxed?
