Fuel theft 15 Sep 2008 (Forum)
We heard of major thefts of diesel from farms, but was there an accompanying rash of siphoning etc. as in the early 70s, which provoked car makers to introduce locking fuel caps and other devices? (I don't seem to remember those on cars before that?) -

The fuel gauge only works when it wants to so should I just replace the sender in tank or are they prone for something else maybe? If its the sender unit in the tank is this straight forward? Any experienced opinions appreciated Pete. -
Ford Focus Mk1 99/T 1.8 petrol - Badly reduced fuel economy 1 Feb 2015 (Forum)
I've eliminated things like tyre pressure/condition and despite having a small oil leak, it seems to make no difference whether the car is a Max or Min oil level. One thing I haven't changed for several years is the fuel filter, but despite a friend suggesting it as a possible cause I can't really see how it could cause the car to use *more* fuel?? I almost exclusively buy Shell fuel and never buy cheap supermarket stuff. -
Ford Focus 1.6 Petrol 02 plate - Poor connection on fuel pump 7 Jan 2015 (Forum)
Fidled with fuel pump feed plug, no joy eventually managed to bump start it. Got home, 2 hrs later, won't start. So, is it the fuel pump? Fuel pump connector or something else? If it's the connector can just the connector be repaired/replaced or is it a whole new fuel pump?
