  The light will stay on from 10 seconds to 60 seconds.  It always seems to come when driving up a hill then goes off after the top is reached.

  I've jst had a wasted journey to see a VW on ebay. It's a shame the vendor described car as driving 'spot on' when it doesn't. The vendor knew this.  Why can't people just be honest in the description?  A few moths ago I saw a car advertised in minute detail. The seller did this because he didn't want to run the risk of negative feedback.

  Hi all Have the oil light on all the time,when starting the car and when driving. There is oil on the dipstick which is nearly full !!!! There is NO knocking noise at all. Apart from the oil light the car runs fine. What are my next options Thanks for your time Dreadhead

  I have a 2litre Mondeo and it has started to use excessive amounts of oil e.g. 2 litres in a 76 mile journey. There is no evidence of leaks as the  house drive is clean without oil stains and I am not getting black smoke out of the exhaust pipe. Any ideas?

  1.6 petrol Feels extremely well made, very quiet, drives well for a tall car. Plenty of room in the front, fantastic seats, a bit tighter in the back. Rear visibility could be better but nothing to worry about. Will let you know how I go on. H

  I realise all Diesels will have DPFs fitted before long, does that mean that they will all be unsuitable for town driving due to regeneration issues? Many thanks

  Hello,had a lift the other day from a friend in his Mercedes Benz.The car is a estate diesel automatic and ten years old covered over hundred thousand miles.It still feels like quality inside the car did't notice the gear change.I used like driving the mercs for oil test for the Adibis section of BP.Any Mercedes owners out there and there experiences.

  Help... my VW Polo wont start if it is wet either by rain/condensation and also cuts out and wont restart if I drive through a puddle - 2 mechanics have tried but can't see the problem, has anyone got any ideas?

  The engine radiator fan runs continuously and someone told me that it is controlled directly from the ECU. If this is true its not worth replacing the ECU to drive is a more silent enviroment!! Can anyone help me abt this problem or maybe someone experienced it before? Thanks

  Recently our 1998 seat arosa has developed a strange problem. When driving at light throttle the pedal vibrates (that is moves up and down) of it's own accord. it is not loose in any way and there has been no change in fuel consumption or performance but clearly something isn't right.

  Cos I got 215,000 on mine & it is still good, despite occasional heavy (3500kg) trailer towing, a lot of town stop start driving, plus 300miles of using in lieu of brakes, ie down through the gears. Mind two adolescents learning may just be its death knell. Cheers M

  I need to drive from central Birmingham to Sheffield, leaving around 4.30 pm this afternoon. It looks like my options are A38/M6/M42/M1 or A38/61. Have any Backroomers done this trip regularly? Any pointers re the best route?

  Diesel DTi. Can anyone confirm whether the drive on this is belt or chain ? Also, I'd like an idea of cost of replacement, whether it's best to also replace the water pump at the same time and, if so, the likely combined cost. Many thanks.

  No more problems with turbo, EGR valve, heater resistor, dash electrics, weak trim etc etc. A great car to drive, plenty of room for family, spoilt by terrible quality and dealer service. Renault, never again. Regards aahbarnes
