Citroen Berlingo Multispace - Engine Radiator Fan - Max_Mlt

I have had this problem for many years. The engine radiator fan runs continuously and someone told me that it is controlled directly from the ECU. If this is true its not worth replacing the ECU to drive is a more silent enviroment!!

Can anyone help me abt this problem or maybe someone experienced it before?

More likely to be a faulty sensor or relay.

We have the problem of the radiator fan not cutting in and it overheating? Any advice you can give us as Garage cant look at it til Tuesday!

fan not working?

# Remove wire from temperature sensor: switch on ignition. Fan should come on: this proving fan + circuits +relay+ fuses are ok..

(you need a wiring diagram to know which connector to remove).

# If fan does not come on, you can test it with a 12Volt supply direct from battery.

If fan comes on, fuse , wiring or relay.

Best to start by checking fuse: you will need to consult handbook to identify the correct one.

If you know nothing of car electrics..do NOT try # items...you may destroy the ECU.

No handbook or wiring diagram? Give up.
