Ford Mondeo - Rant about blatant lies from second hand dealer 10 Sep 2015 (Forum)
I don't know why, just taking him at his word. When I actually got some time to check it at home I found the brake fluid below minimum, the coolant below minimum and the washer fluid empty. The brake fluid was the most alarming obviously... Unforunately, being a diesel when I dipped the oil it was already black so I have no way of knowing if it was actually changed. -

Citreon C3 Aircross - Advice on order of process 11 Jan 2025 (Forum)
Due to being hospitalised for three months almost 2 years ago and my recovery to "normality" has been long and slow, my car has been sat in my garage all that time and never moved and off the road for both tax and insurance, Ironically I bought it brand new just a few weeks before everything went to pot, My recovery to my new normal state has meant that although now that I am in a better state to drive, I am unable to use the brake with my right foot as I cannot lift high enough from the accelerator. After a driving assessment a few weeks ago it was agreed that I could drive again with a push control in place of the brake. -

Peugeot 2008 1.2 puretech 130 EAT6 Allure Premium - five year report 19 Oct 2024 (Forum)
As an oldie’s runabout it has an easy life apart from my occasional red-line ‘Italian tune-up’. I have just done a wheels-off preMoT inspection and general clean up. Brake pipes were painted with some old Hammerite and a fair bit of rust was hammered off the disc rims. There is of course no sign of underbody rust. The Goodyear Vector 4seasons tyres (oddly I had thought they were Michelin Crossclimates) swapped front to rear at 15,500 miles, still have 3mm of tread; the front brake pads 4mm and the rear pads 5mm. -

Renault Grand Scenic - Replace or wait? 19 May 2022 (Forum)
I was looking to replace last year but the prices rocketed and have been the same or worse since. Basically it's starting to get more issues. A few weeks ago the rear passenger side brake caliper was stuck on and I couldn't get it off the driveway. This was the final straw for me at the time and I vowed to get rid. The fault was one of the cables to the caliper had snapped (EPB). -
