Peugeot 306 - Peugeot 306 - No Spark 4 Sep 2012 (Forum)
The old ECU has been put back on the car. It turns over, I believe it to be getting fuel, but it doesn't smell flooded, you can hear the fuel pump when the ignition is switched on. I decided to check the coil pack, and didn't find a spark, so I bought another, still no spark. The crank sensor has been replaced so I'm assuming that it's fine. -

2007 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2. - Misleading petrol gauge. 4 Mar 2012 (Forum)
My car is supposed to have a fuel tank capacity of 45 litres. The gauge shows" full"," half full", "quarter full" and the red section. I believe the gauge is calibrated incorrectly because it always takes quite a lot less to brim the tank than the gauge would suggest. -
Ford Focus - 52 Ford Focus Tdci intermittent starting 25 Feb 2012 (Forum)
I feared this was the dreaded DMF however the starter motor thankfully fixed this. Also I've noticed when I switch the ignition off the fuel gauge rests ar halfway regardless of how much fuel is in there instead of returning to the stop. Could the battery now be a little suspect? Anyone else experienced anything similar? I thank you in advance for your help and advice. -

BMW 118d vs 120d - Which one to go for? 15 Feb 2012 (Forum)
How do they compare with respect to Insurance Group, Road Tax for private user? Real world fuel economy register shows very little difference between them. Other issue is the sports suspension versus the standard suspension, but only I can answer that one myself based upon personal preference. -

Astra G 1.6 8v estate - The cost of motoring 12 Aug 2011 (Forum)
Cost of depreciation of the 1st was 11p/mile, the 2nd was 12.57p/mile. The first averaged 40.1mpg and cost 9p/mile for fuel, the second did 38.6mpg and cost 12p/mile. The first cost 8p/mile for everything else, the 2nd cost 12p/mile. Total cost of the 1st was 27.5p/mile, the 2nd was 36.5p/mile. One of the surprises for me was to realise how little the fuel cost, compared to everything else. -

Mazda Xedos 6 (1992 - 1998) - 92 2.0 Kangaroo petrol 18 Jan 2011 (Forum)
It could almost be an ignition problem (HJ mentions this in the car-by-car) but there are plenty of sparks at idle, despite the lumpiness, so I suspect fuel, although at high speed there is no problem. I'm hoping these are symptoms of something obvious that I'm just unfamiliar with. Since we've had Mazdas, I've got very rusty on fault diagnosis... TIA JBJ -
