The British Motor Museum is celebrating the British car this summer with a host of family-friendly activities over the summer months. A different workshop will run every Tuesday and Thursday with activities incliuding building British cars out of Lego. So, no matter how old you are, you’ll be able to make a Land Rover, Mini or Jaguar E-type out of bricks. -

Fuel nears £1-a-litre as supermarkets cut prices for Christmas 9 Dec 2015 (News)
The RAC believes that the average of unleaded will fall by another 3p-per-litre in the next fortnight, while diesel prices are expected to drop by 5p. Sub-£1 fuel prices will be welcomed by families in the run up to Christmas, meaning it will cost £52.94 to fill the tank of a Ford Focus, a saving of around £4 compared to November. Frankfurt Motor Show 2015: Hyundai to preview performance-focused ‘N’ models 27 Aug 2015 (News)
Hyundai has yet to formally announce which of its models is to get the ‘N’ treatment first but the i20 would be a good bet, considering the current popularity of hot hatchbacks. Hyundai has also given the model plenty of publicity by running one in the World Rally Championship. Aside from the WRC car, the other big star on Hyundai’s stand will be the N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo concept car – a futuristic supercar concept (pictured below) that will be available to drive in the Gran Turismo PS3 game, but isn’t set to go into production. Finally there will be a high-performance version of the axed Veloster, powered by a 300PS 2.0-litre engine (pictured above). -

Expect to pay £12,000-£16,000 – which makes this an incredibly cheap M3. ‘As new’ Lancia Delta Integrale could make £110,000 at Race Retro auction 28 Jan 2015 (News)
The car has only ever been driven on the road once – from the supplying dealer to the current owner, where it has remained in perfect storage conditions for the past 22 years. Finished in white with the iconic Martini livery, the car is one of a limited run of 400 that were made to celebrate the Integrale’s fifth consecutive World Rally manufacturers’ championship for Lancia. To improve the car’s handling, the ‘Evoluzione’ homologation specials featured a wider track at both the front and rear than earlier Deltas. -

Land Rover offers £9000 bursary to female engineering students 22 Aug 2013 (News)
At present, just 13 per cent of the engineering workforce is female and it’s hoped that the Land Rover scholarship will encourage more women to enter the industry. The program will be run in conjunction with WISE – an organisation dedicated to equalling the gender balance in science and engineering. According to a report published by EngineeringUK, Britain needs to double the number of engineering graduates and triple the number of engineering apprentices by 2020 to meet industry needs. -
