  New Sports and Economy 206s From Peugeot 3 Feb 2001 (News)
  Peugeot has launched an attractive new version of the 206 to be called the 206Xsi which follows the tyre-prints of the definitive hot hatch of all time, the 205GTi. The new car has a new 1.6 litre 16v engine shared with the Citroen Xsara and putting out 110bhp. This is enough to get the 206Xsi to sixty in around 9.3 seconds and on to 123mph. The economy figures are remarkably good with a combined mpg of 41.5 and CO2 emissions are a reasonable 161g/km.
