After a body shop repair a couple of weeks ago, the car wouldn't start this morning - just completely dead. AA called, who found that the battery terminal was resting on the battery and making a very loose connection, not bolted on, and the terminal cover was sitting on top of the suspension housing a few inches away. -

Audi A3 2002 1.6 petrol misfire ? 24 Feb 2016 (Forum)
I have a weird problem with my Audi A3, maybe someone has come across this before, or can provide helpful suggestions of where to look…. The car is an Audi A3 1.6 petrol 2002 with a AVU engine. It’s covered 280,00 miles but has been well serviced, there is for instance absolutely no cam wear and the head is yellow inside, not black. The car runs on LPG as well as petrol. -
Dacia Logan MCV / Ford Mondeo - BHP & Torque 28 Jan 2015 (Forum)
I am a computer geek rather than a car guy so would really appreciate someone advising what these actually mean to me in terms of the above scenario. My dad keeps saying to me that I need to get a 2.0L or 2.2L car and they are becoming rarer these days. -
Skoda Fabia VRS OCT 10 - New engine needed, no warranty provided 30 Oct 2014 (Forum)
However, I was led to believe that all this would be done as a gesture of goodwill from SKODA uk. The garage had advertised this car to me as having a years warranty and thought I'd be covered for that. I parted with the best part of £10,000 to buy this car. Where do I stand? The dealership say it doesn't come with a warranty, Skoda uk have just advised that it does. -

This car has covered 29k miles, serviced independantly,& has not been thrashed. It's been used daily, mainly on A roads & some local. It is going back to the main dealer next week to be tested. -
Volkswagen Polo IV - Oil Pressure Problem 19 Dec 2013 (Forum)
Got a VW polo 2002-2005 model, 1.2 petrol engine, chain driven oil pump and the car has covered 70k miles. Was driving along and the oil pressure warning light came on, along with quite a large loss of power having to rev it more than usual. So far, I've done the obvious things; changed the oil and filter and changed the oil pressure switch which made no difference and didn't put out the light. -

Insurance claim, points not added to insurance 18 Jan 2013 (Forum)
I've had to make a claim on my insurance, but forgot to add 3 points to my cover at time of renewal. From the moment I called about the accident I told them about the points, the person in the phone never seemed bothered and processed the claim. The car was a total loss so had to contact dvla who again informed the company of the points, obviously. -

Accord Diesel Problem 4 Sep 2012 (Forum)
The second problem was with the glow plug warning light when on a number of occasions it started flashing. According to the handbook this indicates a problem with the engine emissions and the car should not be driven. The solution is to start the engine and then stop it and restart after thirty seconds. This should be done three times. If it fails to go out then the dealer must be contacted and the car can only be driven carefully for a short distance. -
Ford Mondeo - '98 Ford Mondeo 1.8 Diesel not starting... 7 Mar 2011 (Forum)
Hi all, Doing some home repairs on the car, changed the head gasket, and the car won't start afterwards. The starter motor does not crank when I turn the key and no fuel is getting to the injectors. So, to cover the other stuff... I've checked the timing, I've made sure fuel is getting to the pump, I've run a wire from the starter solenoid to the battery and the engine turns over but does not start, I've opened the fuel injector pipes to let air out of the system, so far nothing. -
