Car seized for no insurance - urgent help needed! 24 Jul 2012 (Forum)
Yesterday his parents took out insurance on the car and tried to pick the car up but the police wouldn't let them as they weren't the registered keeper of the car. Now, they phoned this morning to see whether they could go again with their son so that the owner and driver would be there but they're saying that they refuse to release the car without a valid insurance certificate with the OWNER on it, not just the nominated driver. -
any - car purchase £1000-£6000 hj/news 21 Apr 2011 (Forum)
if the banks are now making it hard to get finance because the asset will not cover the potential losses if the loan is still more than the value of the car then the car is obviously overpriced. When i was still working in the motor trade i advised a colleague NOT to proceed with a deal that would have seen a customer owing far more than the value of the car (retail!) -
any - used car problems 28 Nov 2010 (Forum)
On the web forum I have found lots of good information on Dual mass flywheels, Particulate filters and driving style with both of these things on the car. What I never was asked at the dealer was whar would the car be used for! I would say, first port of call if you have a car that is still under warranty, ask the dealer, as there may be a recall for your car and secondly, if you have dealer servicing carried out you will have your warranty, and if the car is serviced annually you will have some cover up until the 4th service is due, because the dealer will recover some cost from the manufacturer if it is aknown fault, and also will want to keep your custom. -

M25 services (lack of) 23 Nov 2018 (Forum)
In a clockwise direction, there are none between Cobham and South Mimms. That is equivalent to numbers 7 and 12 on a clock face and it covers one of the busiest stretches where the M3, M4 and M40 all join. Unless you choose your time to travel, which as a retired person I am lucky to be able to do, covering that particular stretch can take some time as the variable speed limits are almost always in operation.
