  • 2013 Ford Fiesta Titanium 1.0 T - Seat Belt warning 25 Oct 2016 (Forum)
There is a black block at the offside front of the seat cushion which the pre tensioner cable terminates in, along with another smaller cable. This runs from the buckle area, under the seat to this block. It looks like a relay. Could this be the culprit? Or is it more to do with the buckle housing? Thanks in anticipation for any replies.

  • Hard cold starting, Yamaha Scooter.125cc 7 Jul 2016 (Forum)
I had to have the bike started with leads by the RAC where it started first time. Also, in the colder weather, it seems to stall when started and can only be kept running if I opening the throttle. When started, it re-starts first time. I hope some can help me; Many thanks in advance.
  • focus mk1 1800 petrol zetec - timing belt and waterpump change 20 May 2016 (Forum)
I have asked for a few quotes and they seem to think they dont need to take the timing belt off ( I had it changed 8/10 k ago about 18 months ago ) to change the pump but everywhere else I look tells me the pump runs off the timing belt? Is this correct? They have quoted £148 to change the waterpump inclusive, that sounds fair. Just want to check before I commit.   Cheers.

  • 2008 Fiat 500 Sport (petrol) - Fiat 500 clutch problem 2 Jan 2016 (Forum)
When cold, clutch actuation and gear selection is fine, but after approx 60 mins running there is a pronounced ‘screech’ whenever the clutch pedal is depressed, and the ‘bite point’ is lost, making gear-changing difficult.   There is no loss of fluid from the clutch actuating system.
  • Mercedes Benz E350 Petrol 2007 - Engine Warning light 4 Nov 2015 (Forum)
I am really happy with the car however in recent weeks the engine warning light has come on even though the car is running very smoothly. The car has only done 23000 gentle miles with very few short journeys. It is serviced annually by a first rate non franchise garage who tell me that the fault code indicates a 'camshaft phasing sensor' problem.

That being said my engine light remains on, on the dashboard and I know that without running a diagnostics on it I can't tell what's wrong. I've heard there is a method of getting the fault code yourself if this is true can some one please explain or refer me to a place where I can learn how to do this?

  • Any - Suggestions on high mileage reliable car to buy. 26 Apr 2015 (Forum)
Am after suggestions on high mileage cars which are cheap to run i.e. parts and labour cost. At the moment am driving a toyota corolla verso which has been quiet reliable, only problem is on the two occasions i have had some issues the parts and labour cost we quiet expensive.Prior to the verso i had an astra which i would say had medium reliability but at least the parts and labour cost were manageable. So i finally come to the conclusion that be it highly reliable car or not there will be problems, hence my question.Any suggestions?
