  Well the time is FINALLY here and the Beetle is up for sale and the Mini is coming on the 4th sept. I rang my insurance company, Eagle star who have just been taken over by Zurich. They cannot insure me on the Mini so I am forced to take my business else where ie. Direct line.

  A modern Mini near me is regularly heard backfiring on the overrun. I would have thought that as all modern cars are injected and the fuel would be cut off on the overrun backfiring wouldn't be possible?

  The mini is coming with Zenon headlights and also comes with headlight washer jets. I asked my boyfriend and he said all cars with Zenon lights have to have headlight washer as well. Why is this???

Picked up an MCS yesterday, bought the car from a local VW/Audi dealership car is an 07 plate with 46000 miles full BM service history, last service was at 43000 miles. The dealership I bought it from have Mot'd it and put 2 new tyres on the front which I thought was very good of them plus they have agreed to fix a crack in the front bumper at their expense as it appears to have happened while in their possession.

  A friend has a mini, bought at 6mths old and 5,000 from BMW Dealer (ex-demo) it has the TLC cover and has been serviced by a another BMW Dealer @ roughly 20K & 35K miles. It is now 3 years old and needed an MoT and they take it to the local friendly independent round the corner and it fails.

  Saw one of these yesterday in the Black Forest, with minimal camoflage on the nose and back lights. As far as looks go, inside and out ´mini-Maybach´ pretty much sums it up. Very impressive indeed.
