BX 19 diesel - drumming noise at 65 17 May 2004 (Forum)
Exhaust not blowing. Wondered if a wheel bearing might be going or, alternatively, perhaps a drive shaft? Has only covered just over 70K and has been carefully looked after. All thoughts from any BX experts out there would be appreciated. CG -

Radio interference 21 Mar 2003 (Forum)
When I listen to Medium Wave, which I tend to do a lot, I am getting a huge amount of interference from the car stereo. Sounds like static but is vaguely related to engine speed and is loud and thorough enough to totally cover the station itself. What with the CD changer, Sat Nav, Phone kit and everything else, I had just resigned myself to not really being able to listen to MW anymore. -
Which Civic Auto? 16 Mar 2003 (Forum)
The Concerto has a 1.6 engine which works well with the autobox but a trawl through Autotrader\'s website comes up with several 1.4\'s - does anybody know if these are conventional or belt driven boxes and are as reliable as the 1.6. Have checked HJ\'s CBC breakdown but there is not much info on the 1.4. The car will be used mainly for school runs, and local driving with the occasional motorway trip and cover approx 8 - 10k miles a year. It must have 5 doors and be automatic and be Focus /Astra size. Is there anything else I should consider? -

Catalytic Converter Audi A4 110 TDI 18 Jan 2002 (Forum)
To date the catalytic converter has been replaced twice. The present one is now defective and needs replaced, (the car has been serviced by Audi from new and has covered 68,000 miles). When the last one was fitted by the Audi dealer( Sept 99) I was informed that the part had a 3 year waranty. When thisone began to rattle I contacted the dealer and was told that there was no waranty on this part. -

Going electric? 29 Mar 2022 (Forum)
The only sensible way to run them or most pricey new cars at the moment is via a contract lease as the leasing firms get huge discounts on the cars from the manufacturers. It typically costs £60/£70 a month less than a PCP and ends in exactly the same way with you handing the car back at the end with no money left in it. -
