Ford Kuga - Ford kuga acceleration problems 26 Sep 2018 (Forum)
I have an 2008 kuga 2.0 tdci and I notice a small problem with acceleration. For example I am driving in 3rd gear with around 1600 rpm the engine seems to be fine and running smoothly but atfer 5 seconds of driving constant like this the engine start to shake giving the feeling like its loosing power or the fuel is intrerupted. Then I push the acceleration pedal to 2000 rpm and everything seems to be fine however this is not the only situation when the engine is doing like this but is the situation when i feel this issue the most. -
Skoda Octavia Scout - is it a keeper? 19 Sep 2018 (Forum)
Head says £14k is a lot to spend on a 3 year old diesel that might start to get expensive to run before long.... -
Windscreen life 1 Jul 2018 (Forum)
Puzzled how its picked up so many pinprick pits, (no chips or cracks), I asked my mate who runs a body shop about replacing it, but his advice was to leave it as is because in his experience not all screen replacements are done with enough care and can lead to problems. (understandable with bonded screens). -

Fines for parking badly 24 Mar 2018 (Forum)
Last month I was in Looe in Cornwall. Parked in coucil run pay and display. The notice board next where payment was made clearly stated a fine would be imposed if cars were not parked wholly in a marked space. I think the fine was £100. Not a problem for us as I always make sure of parking correctly. -

HGVs - Fine HGVs which block major roads? 18 Jan 2018 (Forum)
A couple of inches of slush and the traffic england map is full of stretches of red and black (=non-moving traffic). A14 closed due to difficulty removing jack-knifed HGV. We can now be fined for running out of petrol on motorways. Perhaps large fines for those who paralyse a significant proportion of the country's GDP - number of person-hours + tons of static goods-hours x £10? -
Useless in the snow and ice - Rear wheel drive auto cars 14 Dec 2017 (Forum)
Luckily he was able to borrow my A4 for the day to visit his business premises. My view was confirmed by a taxi driver who uses this model for airport runs. But he has taken to parking on a main road and walking to his home, just to be able to keep in busness. so if anyone is contemplating buying one of these cars or similar BMW's be sure to opt for the 4wd version -
Honest John’s Motoring Agony Column 18-11-2017 Part 2 18 Nov 2017 (Forum)
Re V-Power vs BP Ultimate: I use Super Unleaded in my 2004 Jazz (to prolong the life of the engine) and got no better MPG with V-Power - and some instances worse - than running on supermarket unleaded. By contrast BP Ultimate gives me 20-50 miles more per tank. I mostly use my car to commute between Cardiff and Bristol and so this equates to an extra one way trip - very handy. -

Two tips for freeing off Citigo (and up! and Mii) seized back brakes (JB, Kendal): 1) Make sure the car can't run away - in gear with engine off and / or someone in the driver's seat applying the footbrake - then put a socket extension on the hub through an aperture in the wheel and tap with a hammer - twang! You will hear the brakes release. -
Honda Shuttle 2.3LS - Oil consumption heavy but steady 18 Mar 2017 (Forum)
But there's been no black smoke, no 'burning oil' just an occasional slight smell of hot oil when I get out at the end of a run. I wondered today if it might be escaping via the rocker cover. If you look at the picture, https://www.flickr.com/photos/30658292@N06/? you can see that one of the securing bolts is oily, whereas the others are dry? -
E Class Coupe - Mercedes Advice 8 Jan 2017 (Forum)
Now I know for a fact he is very particular about his cars and doesn't scrimp on a penny so I know the history of the car is good. My question is would this be a good buy for £15000 if I intend to run it to around 100k? Is there anything I need to be weary of and are these good cars? Cheers Danny -

My question is do we get a cheap run about and keep the van or is it worth paying the the tax etc for a company car? Very difficult to find information on the net regarding this situation, others must have faced it. Rich -
