  I remember  Ford selling Focus dual fuel cars in France  back in 2006. Never took off due to limited opportunities to refuel.   I was surprised therefore at my local French supermarket, that the E5 98 octane choice on the pump had been removed for E85.

  We have a 2007 Citroen C4 VTR+ HDi hatchback, and cover about 15,000 miles a year, but half of that is done in 13 hour high cruise speed motorway blasts to and from the south of France on autoroutes - 750 miles a day on 10 days each year. We need to replace it with a comfortable car with reasonable carrying volume and max width of 2000mm to go into a narrow village street. Automatic, cruise and speed control essential, and diesel preferred as it's much cheaper in France and likely to remain so.
