• Hyundai i20 comfort automatic - Forced sale 17 Feb 2011 (Forum)
  My father in law has had to give up driving due to medical opinion and therefore is forced to sell his Hyundai i20 hatchback (1.4 comfort -petrol -automatic). The selling dealer has bid just less than £5800 for it. It is a 10 reg and just over 8 months old with about 4000 miles on the clock. Bearing in mind that similar aged vehicles are retailing for around £10,000 (approved Hyundai cars) this seems to be a bit low.

  Lovely forum you have here Just need some help with probably the most daft mistake I could have made. I have a VW Golf MK4 Automatic.  I opened the door and put the keys on the dash. I put my luggage in the back. I shut the back door. The vibrations then caused the keys to slide down the dashboard and into a mysterious place in the right hand side of the front window.

  Hi Everyone, I need some advice about my R reg Automatic 1.0 micra. I only got it on Sunday. It was fine on the test drive. I have been driving it everyday since I got it, only 4-5 miles a day. I have now noticed that when I slow down and brake or when I am sitting in traffic.

  As this is his first ever auto, and as I have never had an Auto I have been asked by him to ask how does one drive an Automatic car properly. Obviously N is for Neutral R for reverse D for Drive 1 and 2???? I dont know what they are for! Questions is on a motorway or speeds above say 60mph which gear does noe use. At traffic lights do you leave the car in D with the foot on the brake or put it into neutral.

  hi all im new to the forum i have a l reg 93 ford minibus long wheel base automatic gearbox its a 2 ltr unleaded petrol driving round town its great no problems as soon as i try to drive anywere over 30 - 40 miles it starts juttering at 60- 70 miles a hour when you take foot slightly of the axcelerator to let it tick at that speed the bus jutters and nearly dies so you have to put foot right down!!

  In the last few weeks I've enjoyed the electronic frippery that is part of my Citroen C8 but today I discovered an unexpected downside to the automatic headlamps. This afternoon I was passing through a village which is blessed with speed humps. A few yards past the hump is a turning on the left where a white Vectra was apparently waiting for me to pass by.

  hi all, i recently had my oil cooler replaced which stopped oil mixing with water in the tank, plus changed radiator unit (which included a transmission oil cooler) cost approx £400 incl labour. now the car developed a curious problem, automatic gearbox works fine when cold, after 5 miles or so, 1st gear develops a problem, becomes sticky, and need to push it down for 3 seconds before it responds, other gear changes seem ok. thing is though if i switch the engine off and back on then problem goes away for a nother 6 miles or so.
