Perodua UK stops importing cars 3 Jun 2014 (News)

The Myvi is the bestselling car in Malaysia, however UK sales have been slow, with just a handful of examples being registered each month according to SMMT figures. -
Jensen's back with a new classic dealership 24 Apr 2014 (News)
Oxfordshire-based Jensen Motors Ltd has just appointed Slades Garage as its first authorised classic car dealership. Buckinghamshire-based Slades Garage was established in 1922 and specialises in classic car sales, dealing with Aston Martin, Porsche, Rolls-Royce and Ferrari among others. Jensen Motors recently announced its plans to produce eight ‘Champagne’ authentic Jensen models to celebrate 80 years of the marque. -
Retromobile: JD Classics makes a strong debut 6 Feb 2014 (News)
JD Classics’ debut at Retromobile in Paris (5-9 February) has got off to a flying start with an 11-car display featuring Ferrari, Aston Martin, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar and Ferrari. Data from British Car Auctions has shown that the average price of a used car crossing the block rose by £692 (11 per cent) in September, while the average value of vehicles sold by fleet and leasing companies tipped above £9000 for the first time on record. -

The Lister name has made a return to new car production. The consolidation of three companies, and a significant financial investment from Warrantywise, has meant that a new business called Lister Motor Company Limited, bursts back onto the scene from new premises near Cambridge. -

KIA Sells 12 Months of Cars in 10 Months 6 Nov 2012 (News)
KIA has already broken its sales record by selling more cars in the first 10 months of 2012 than in the whole of 2010, KIA's previous best year. Sales of 4,837 vehicles in October pushed the year-to-date sales to 57,736 units - 1,622 more than the record 2010 full year figure when 56,114 vehicles were sold. -
New car registrations flat in February 7 Mar 2012 (News)
New car registrations dipped by 2.5% in February, as is to be expected in one of the quieter months of the year. A drop is traditional ahead of the March plate change, with February sales typically accounting for just 3.3% of the annual total. March is usually one of the busiest months for new registrations, so, according to Paul Everitt of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), it should provide a clearer indication of the true health of the industry. -
