  today's Mail has a pic/story abt an Austrian farmer who upset animals rights people by carrying two calves on back seats of his Golf. They're comfortable, he points out, reasonably. Anyone here driven with an animal(s) larger than a dog in the rear?

  I see on today's news that Ford and GM are having major problems in the US due to very poor sales. Ford shares are down to '1950's levels' apparently and the US government is offering them £14bn of loan guarantees to help them stay afloat!

  One of the few complaints I have with my current Megane is the fidgety ride as it has 17'' alloys. If I get the 16's will the ride be better? And what about cruising, is this affected? TIA

  I've recently seen several Higways Agency vehicles on the M6. They are 4X4's and have police traffic vehicle style colours and blue flashing lights. They usually scare people into keeping to the speed limit (not a bad thing!) but I was wondering what their status is with regard to traffic offences etc.?
