  The problem is not capacity but the Ford misfuel inhibitor which won't open except naturally for a fuel pump. I tried a funnel and flexible hose with the same result, prod and poke but the fuel filler neck has been designed to incorporate contact points that open an internal fuel flap only when the larger diesel pump nozzle applies pressure on them.
