  Having purchased an Audi A6 Avant 1.9 TDI SE in the summer months and being very impressed with the car, I really do think I ought to sort out the 'missing remote key' dilemma! Looking through the Audi manual that came with the car, the car originally came with two remote keys, one plastic and an ID strip on a key ring.

  i have an oil leak off the crankshaft on my 1998 1.8T A6. the audi garage said it would cost £343. is there any short term measure i can do - like put a sealant on it? the leak is very small and the only reason i need to get it done is that it drips on the drive (its dripping onto the cover underneath the engine then eventually drips onto drive). audi said to keep an eye on the oil level and i have been and it only drips a spot a day so nothing major but as we have blocked pave drive then its making a mess. id imagine i can get it done cheaper at a non-audi approved garage. they also said that they would need to take the cambelt and tensioner off so to get to it so would be advised to get this done at the same time - total cost £513.

  can Allianz insist on their preferred repairer doing the work who is not Audi approved, and where does that leave me with respect to the warranty and future sale/value of the vehicle? The vehicle is a 63 model, 9k on the clock. The vehicle has been bought on the equivalent of a personal finance scheme; bit up front monthly payments and then lump sum at end.

  So much for Audi Main dealer servicing then. Audi are collecting the car and fixing the problems free of course.

  With news that a friend who bought an Audi S6 Avant in February being contacted by the dealer making him an offer of £7 K to sell the car back , is this the time to seriously think about cashing in before the bubble busts? Even  though a lease deal doesn’t end until February ?

  I have just test driven a Audi Q2 2018 with 15,000 miles. My concern is that I drove it about 4 miles on normal roads then 5miles on the motorway at about 50 mph and then put my foot down several times and there was clouds of what appears to be white condensation coming out of the exhaust is this normal ?

  Hi, I have recently purchesed an Audi A3 Sportback, has a BKD engine code and a HXS gearbox code.   The Automatic gearbox needs replacing, I have found 3 to 4 replacement gearboxes but not a HXS code.   Does anyone know if a HLE code gearbox would be compatible?

  When I drive my  audi temp gauge sits just below 60  .if I stop in traffic  it rises to 90 and sit there untill I move again . Is this doing any damage to the car  or is this ok please help me I need to know if I have to take to garage

  Front offside corner goes down overnight like a Citroen. I suspect the high pressure air line to that corner is fractured somewhere but my Audi dealer seems unable to locate it. Anyone got any ideas?

  My Audi A6 manual diesel has developed a whine after some 90,000 miles, which is road speed dependent so could come from the gearbox. In last Sunday's Telegraph HJ mentioned using STP oil in such a gearbox to help.

  I've recently bought a 2007 Audi A4 Cabriolet. The fob on the spare keys won't unlock the car by remote, and if the keys are used physically in the lock the door does unlock but the alarm goes off.  Any ideas about what's happening please?

  My 94 Audi 80 2.0E has started to go off a cylinder when started. More smoke is evident and the temperature guage refuses to move. Cylinder head gasket? Likely cost? car has 130k and is in excellent condition.

  Considering changing my petrol A4 and a local dealer has a very nice A4 Avant 2.5 Tdi Quattro. It's 3 years old with 90k miles and has a fully stamped up Audi Service History. Anyone got any experience with this model especially regarding the reliability of the quattro set-up?? Any help much appreciated.. Jimmy

  Looking into possible replacement of my mk2 Golf GTI and a 1989/91 2.0 Audi 80 sport caught my eye (115bhp). Does anyone have any opinions on whether this is a good buy? Will get £150 off insurance bill if I do decide to change but also need to consider mpg -doing 23,000 miles a year.
