  • Peugeot 306 (1993 - 2001) - 99 2.0 hdi - starting problems P0230 & P1138 24 Jul 2008 (Forum)
My peugeot 306hdi is having starting problems and we are really struggling with what to try next to avoid taking to expensive dealers (not financially possible). The car was running fine and was parked up one day when i went to work, on returning it would only fire up and then cut out again.
  • Peugeot 307 SW (2002 - 2008) - 03 HDi 110bhp Limp Home mode 30 Oct 2007 (Forum)
However on taking the car back it had gone into "limp home" mode under 2500revs. Took it back to the Peugeot dealer and they found the following ECU faults (all permanent): 1. Fuel pressure signal. Signal short circuit to positive, open circuit 2. Differential exhaust pressure signal. Coherence of the differential pressure when stopped 3.

  • Peugeot 3008 1.2 - should the low mileage be a worry? 22 Oct 2024 (Forum)
Hi Thinking about trading in the Auris (1.2T) which has done nothing wrong but is just a bit 'meh' for a rather nice Peugeot 3008 1.2 (130) GT line in a very fetching copper/bronze colour at the same dealers we bought the Toyota from back in June of this year (okay...swmbo loves it!) It was first registered in March 2018 and has only done 11000 miles.
  • Peugeot 3008 1.6 e-HDi 115 EGC auto - Bought a new car - Have i done the right thing :) 21 Jun 2019 (Forum)
Last night I went to nosey around The Car People in Manchester, pretty pleasant experience to be fair! Anyway 2 hours later, I've bought a Peugeot 3008. 40k on the clock. Had a little test drive and once I'd got used to the Auto gear box and paddles etc I was fine, very different to what I've had in the past, but time to be sensible. Pick it up on Friday, needs a couple chips fixing up and a new valet.
  • Peugeot Boxer - Why did the rocker arms break? 7 Sep 2018 (Forum)
I own a 12 year old Peugeot Boxer campervan with a 2.0 HDI engine. Last week the rocker arms on cylinder 1 suddenly broke while I was driving on the motorway. I wasn't speeding up or changing gear or anyhing, just cruising at a constant speed.
  • Peugeot 3008 - Used car fault after purchase 4 May 2018 (Forum)
Hi all, I need some advice if possible. 3 1/2 months ago i purchased a 2010 Peugeot 3008 from a used car dealership. It came with a 3 month warranty. On Tuesday night it broke down and the display was showing "Gearbox error". I had it towed to the garage i purchased it from and although they haven't given me an estimate on the repair cost, it's obvious from emails and phone calls that they intend to charge me normal parts / labour costs.
  • VW Polo 9N3 - Towing with a Polo 20 Jun 2017 (Forum)
The caravan is quite light in weight - about 675Kg. It's a Silhouette Swift Diamond which has an aluminium chassis and was easily towed by my Peugeot 306 2.0 Hdi. I don't believe the Peugeot was much heavier than the Polo, which itself weighs nearly 1100Kg, but the Polo's engine only develops 70 BHP versus the 90 BHP of the Peugeot.  Apparently a VW Polo won the 'Tow-car of the Year' award for a couple of years running, but I can't find any details of this.
  • peugeot 106 1.1 1997 - Gluing to plastic petrol tank 4 Apr 2017 (Forum)
dunno if metal is allowed under a fuel tank or if it'll even stick.to the tank.. I asked at Peugeot , and the clips are part of the fuel tank ...so it's a replacement fuel tank, otherwise.. Dunno, if it is a MOT fail as is, with the cable ties...? Cheers Liam
  • Peugeot 106 - Wheel Alignment with cutting boards? 8 Aug 2016 (Forum)
Something unusual ... My tracking is out, on my little peugeot 106  the tyres are wearing on the inside... so, too much toe out. I'm off later to try and align the wheels better, with some string, tape measure and axle stands. On youtube , I noticed a TrackRite mat, which tells you how much the wheel are off true 0 degrees.. when you drive over it.
  • Peugeot 106 1.1 1997 - hole in wheel arch...MOT fail? 25 Feb 2016 (Forum)
It's a 1997 Peugeot 106 1.1 This is how it should look, it's the other side's wheel arch... the circular bolt is fitting flush ....and inside the footwell , it is held in place by a plastic screw on connector.

  • Peugeot 407 SW - Over revving issues - really need help!! 3 Nov 2014 (Forum)
Please please please can someone help - I have a problem with my car over revving, it has happened now about 5 times, and it has been into Peugeot for a week, and they cannot find the cause of the problem, even though they have witnessed it happening.  It is quite scary when it happens - when I have stationery or slowing down, its as if it does not want to, and keeps revving on its own, even when I have my foot on the brake.
  • Peugeot 206 SW 2.0 Hdi 2004 - Horn randomly sounding when parked up 20 Feb 2014 (Forum)
Yesterday morning it was parked outside work for about 2 hours before it went off. I've now pulled the fuse until I can get it back to the garage. It has the usual Peugeot immobiliser but no alarm. It seems like a short circuit but has anyone any ideas where to look? Also seems strange that its started doing this since it was in the garage. I would take it back but I haven't got time this week so hoping it might be something simple I can fix at the weekend.

  • Peugeot 307 - Flickering oil light, changed oil pressure switch 2 Oct 2012 (Forum)
Hello We recently became the owners of a peugeot 307, the day we got it, it had just been MOT'd, serviced and had a cambelt change.  Shortly after taking it home, we noticed the red oil pressure light was flashing on for a second or so with the STOP sign, when we were slowing down or turning corners.
  • Peugeot 307 - DPF pressure sensor 16 Jun 2012 (Forum)
Hi, I have a Peugeot 307 2lt Hdi XSI, before christmas I got a de-pollution system faulty fault pop up.. I had the DPF taken off and cleaned and all faults reset and about a month later the fault came back.. I was advised to take the car for a long blast and to get some Forte DPF additive to try help resolve the issues.. for 3-4 months now the fault has been coming and going, going into limp mode a couple of times, each time getting the faults reset..
