Hi. Yes, I know its old but it is in,until now, pristine condition with no rust and runs better, smoother and quieter than most other modern cars I've been in and i've looked after it for the last ten years.
  • In the market for new car - please help 2 Jan 2007 (Forum)
Hi everyone. First time post here so be gentle. Also bear in mind I am not too "up" on cars - that said, I still prefer to have a decent driving experience and not just any old banger. I passed my test two years ago and my first car which I still have now is a 3 door 1.4 Corsa B (1998, S Reg) I have a lot of family and am now looking into an equivalent 5 door, alhough not too sure I like the 5 door Corsas (new or old style).
  • what I should have done New lexusIS 11 Feb 2006 (Forum)
Advise them that if extensive repair work will be required to rectify the faults you reserve the right to reject the car. 4. Don't be fobbed off with any old date to fix the faults..the dealers know that the longer you have the car the weaker your ability to reject it. Keep the use down to a minimum if you suspect a major repair could be required. 5.
  • Driving Other Cars, Insurance Q 21 Dec 2005 (Forum)
Insurance renewal time for me and I was wondering if anyone here can help me with some specific information, should they have it? I am 24yrs old, when I took out my current years insurance I was 23. I am with Budget but my current policy is underwritten by Inter Hannova. I currently have the 'drive other cars' extension on my policy. It was a bit of a surprise when I got this facility from Budget being under 25 and all, but it is very useful thing to have-share the driving with a mate on a trip out, borrow a family car to nip to the shops, take the old man's Cooper S out for a spin etc.

  • Pre-Registered v. Nearly New 14 Sep 2004 (Forum)
Hello Everyone Fairly soon, I plan to change my 4 year old Vectra CDX DTI. I bought it pre-registered from a car supermarket at £8000 under list and its covered 90,000 fairly trouble free miles. Though I would like a 'premium' car, my budget would only buy a car a few years old, particularly if I want a similar specification (leather, climate etc).
  • Audi A3 CD player 10 Jun 2004 (Forum)
A friend has just purchased the TDI version so I will ask what his CD player is getting up to. Should I push Audi to replace the CD player or should I wait until it goes altogether. The car is only 9 months old from new and I don't really want to wait. By the way, all those interested in my engine oil usage saga, the car went in for them to check that out and they found nothing wrong.

  • Toyota Prius - Used car advice 22 Sep 2016 (Forum)
I have to admit being drawn to the techy aspect of driving a hybrid, I like gadgets :). I am a little scared of buying a car that old though, when i could get something more recent for the same money. But the idea of doing all those miles in such a small car is a little depressing. So, I've gone on far too long, if you have made it this far you deserve a medal, please help me!

Last night as I got back into my car in a supermarket car park, the car next to mine a man walked up and and was putting their child into the car.   There was a good 2 foot 10 inches between the cars and bot cars were parked well within their bays (the other car was parked in the last bay which is wider than the others hence the 3 feet approx gap.

went to pick up a hire car from one of the biggest brand hire car firms. one of the tyres completely bald... told them no way I would be driving it they faffed on and took an age to get another car had a look around their site, standard of cleanliness of the cars they are handing to the punters is very poor, a six year old could wash the cars better many a vulnerable person would have driven off in that car, indeed im not convinced they wont have just handed the car onto the next punter so all in all not impressed at all
