hi we have a drop kerb on property for disabled driver,Our problem is our neighbour next door up she comes up the street drives on the path on our drop kerb to drive all the way up to her house then she drives back on the road to reverse back into her garden bering in mind she doesn't even have a drop kerb outside her house,So i know she shouldn't be driving on over the public path to park in her garden,My problem is im disabled and a few times had narrow misses with her car what i mean is ive stood on the public path outside my house to talk to another neighbour when she flys up the street and mounts the drop kerb outside my house to drive on path all the way up to her house,I mean im not fast on my feet but had a few near counters with her car getting me,Ive reported her to police to which they had a word but she still does it,And i was wondering if i could get highways or someone to fit a bollard or something purely for my safety -

Ford Mondeo Estate - Shuddering when accelerating 17 Dec 2015 (Forum)
I know it definitelty isn't the balancing; have checked the tyres for bulges, have tried the steering on both left and right locks and can find no clicking, have checked the wheel nuts (all fine), and checked the engine which appears to be stable on the mounts. In addition, when driving over local roads at normal speeds there is a loudish clunking noise, like a bush is worn? Is it possibe that it can be an inner drive shaft, and is the inner drive shaft near side or off side? -
Toyota Auris HSD - Best way to drive a hybrid on Dual Carriageways 14 Aug 2015 (Forum)
I know this sort of driving probably isn't a hybrid's/CVT gearbox’s strongest point. Is there any recommended method of driving to maximise fuel economy without holding up the traffic? I tend to accelerate about half-way into the ‘power’ range (on the dial) until I get about 10mph below the speed limit and then ease off and (if there’s enough room before the next roundabout) slowly increase up to the speed limit. -
Travelling to buy a (used approved) car? 22 May 2014 (Forum)
How does this work? Do you negotiate over the phone, then travel down, test drive, (and if all is ok) leave your old car with them and drive the new one home? Or is it a case of negotiate over phone, drive down, test drive, agree to buy, drive home, wait a week, repeat to pick up the car? -
Fast cars 19 May 2014 (Forum)
This is probably nonsensical musing but I'll go with it anyway. A few drives in the company Focus has reminded me how differently you need to drive to make a relatively slow car perform. In that, I can put my foot right to the floor and still control the car, as it takes a few moments to get going. -

Golf MK4 SDI with 02K gearbox - Can't select 1st gear after leaving car standing 27 Jan 2014 (Forum)
If I drive everyday then no problems. But if I leave the car standing for a day or two then it drives fine for 5 miles, then I have trouble selecting 1st or 2nd after stopping at traffic lights. After driving another 30-40 miles the problem goes away again, and I can select 1st and 2nd after stopping at traffic lights. -

VW POLO Auto LHD 1.4 2001, - Rumbling noise steering left while driving 27 Mar 2012 (Forum)
Hi there, I really would appreciate help with this. I own a VW POLO from 2001. Its automatic and Left Hand Drive. Only has 35K miles on the clock. While driving at any speed there is a low rumble when turning left. It is also associated with a related slight vibration that I feel through the steering column. -
Peugeot 306 HDi - Knocking noise at front of car 17 Jul 2011 (Forum)
However the car has developed a knock which appears to come from the front drivers side in the area near to the front wheel. The knock is not ever present. It does not happen whilst driving in a straight line and does not happen when driving over bumps or generally over bumpy ground. It more often appears after driving for a period of about twenty minutes and is particularly bad when turning slowly especially to the left.I have a slanted drive that rises about 20degrees from bottom to top and when I turn left and upwards onto my drive I usually get three or for knocking sounds which continue when I straighten up. -

18yr old son passed Driving Test today - now what? 8 Nov 2009 (Forum)
The failed first test earlier in the year made him realise that he doesn't know everything :-)... However now he has to; 1) get insured, 2) buy a car??, 3) drive on motorways and 4) learn how to get around himself without mum, dad or satnav to guide him. 1) Do we just start with him as a named (new) driver on mum's insurance which was where it was linked to during the "learning to drive" phase or start him off on his own? -
Cars parked blocking my drive 27 Aug 2009 (Forum)
Need a bit of advice here. Neighbour who lives directly across the street from me - despite having a drive capable of safely parking 4 cars - chooses to park in the street. Street is pretty narrow - typical housing estate set up. By going so - getting out my drive involves quite an effort despite the fact it's only a small Peugeot 205. -

Tyre experiment over.. 27 Sep 2007 (Forum)
Guess what, no measurable difference, still averaging over the year, 53mpg on heavy duty stop start type driving. The only difference was a slightly firmer ride, only noticable on the first drive or two and much better handling if forced into an emergency swerve. The tread depths a lot deeper on these tyres too.
