Which comfortable hatchback to replace my Renault Laguna II?

I currently own a 2002 Renault Laguna II which I've found to be an excellent car to drive and is extremely comfortable, particularly on long journeys. However, I no longer need such a large car and need to consider buying something smaller (about the size of a Focus would be perfect). Is there a hatchback on the market that would provide a similar level of driving comfort to the Laguna?

Yes, I recommend the Renault Megane on 15-inch wheels with 195/65 R15 tyres.
