• Vauxhall Astra H (2004 - 2009) - 07 1.9 Radio 31 Jul 2009 (Forum)
  Hi, I have an Astra 1.9CDti with the standard Vauxhall radio/info system. I don't seem to be able to get long wave on the radio, I have checked the radio handbook and it mentions AM without specifying if longwave is available, I have tried all knobs bells and whistles without any success.

  I am currently driving around in a 1997 SEAT Toledo SXE but lately a weird problem has surfaced. The red security light on the radio comes on and the radio ceases to function unless the A/C is on full cold. So I presume the radio is overheating and shutting down as a safety precaution. Never happened before in 2 years of ownership.

  Having found an online code supplier I need to remove the Ford 7000 radio from my 1997 Mondeo. I thought this would be so easy! I made the u shaped removal tools that have worked on every other radio I have ever tried but this one wont budge. I have removed the cassette tape storage thing under the radio but it's still refusing to move.

  The only solution is to disconnect the battery. When the battery is reconnected, and the radio code re-entered, it will work again for a period, and the fault will then recur. Has anyone encounetred this problem? Is it a fault with the radio, or is it in the car's electrics?

  i have bought a used 2001 hyudai accent which has a clarion car radio model rab2671r i have no code for this radio and the previous owner (1) when i contacted him niether had any info on this if i were to remove the battery for some reason i presume it would not work after reinstalling the battery i heard there was a way round this by putting a pp9 battery connected to a cigarette lighter plug or across the battery terminals before disconnecting them to keep the radio code on any advice please,thankyou deggers

  You can press the 'source' button as much as you like, but it just switches between radio and casette. :( Does he need a different radio for it to work? Or is he missing something?

  Anyway, they gave us the code and today I’ve left the radio on thinking that if I left it on long enough, the radio display would change from wait to code. The problem is that the radio switched itself off before I had the chance to try the code. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do?

  My Clarion Radio / CD player in my Navara has just broken again. I have decided to replace it. I would quite like a DAB radio / CD player as I live in the Highlands and there are few regular radio stations. I do not have MP3 / IPOD so feel fairly indifferent to them.
