  Hello everyone. I would really appreciate some help with this. my car has a strange oily smell coming through the car vents inside the car. It seems very strong when the car is stood at idle, when it’s on the go I can barely smell anything. I have put some engine cleaner in and about to get the oil and filter changed again but I am not sure that’s going to fix it.

  I see the A1(M) around my way is now sprinkled with lots of coppers 'spy' cars - the jam sandwich is no more. What I find rather incongruous is that they are all brand new Mercedes, BMW and Audis. Austerity obviously doesn't apply to this lot. Bleating about cuts is one thing, but rolling out in a car most of us can't afford (as a private car anyway) sticks in the throat.

    The car is great and really reliable, averages 48mpg .  The best bit is that it cost me £500.  I love the car and just had to share this with you as i find a lot of the items on the back room tend to just cover the negative side of motoring on the cheap.

  The weather had been very wet with storm force rain previously. However the car is always outside and such conditions are not uncommon in Bolton ( it has not happened previously in 3 yrs of ownership.)
