VW POLO - VW Polo 2006 9N3 1.2S Engine Cover 29 Jan 2016 (Forum)
Hi, New to the forum, looking to find out if the polo we have bought for our son should have an engine cover. Have just changed out the pencil coils, plugs and battery and noticed it does not have a cover. Have looked for a bar code sticker on the top butthere isn't one, its only done 27, 000 and and so would like to replace it if it had one. Seems to be after reading a few posts that some people think that polos of this year possibly were not fitted with one. -
vectra sxi - power steering fault 28 Jan 2016 (Forum)
hi guys we are a bit new to this so please be patient. we have a 52 plate vectra c sxi. we have had a few problems with our power steering lately. it stiffens up when turning then corrects itself. this is very intermitant but still very annoying. are there supposed to any warning lights coupled up with this as we are getting none. we changed our battery 2 weeks ago as the garage said the alternator was fine. This morning we have had the emissions light come on and the power steering played up then. could they be linked? thanks for any advice guys in advance. -

Steyr Daimler Puch Van - Germanic Automotive Engineering Excellence, 14 Dec 2015 (Forum)

Pulled out in mid summer, And parked on concrete, stuck a new battery in her recently , started ABSOLUTLY first kick. Weeping steering box, required a seal at £4.69. And a wash, that was all. And sailed through our Government run NI MOT 1st time. -
Ford Ka - Radio code includes a '0' but no zero button! 17 Nov 2015 (Forum)
Hi I have a 2006Ford Ka and after the battery went flat I needed to re-set the radio code. I followed your instructions, removing the radio from the dashboard & retrieving the serial number (M038488). The website you recommended gave the code as 1503. -
SEAT Ibiza - Radio Code 16 Nov 2015 (Forum)
I've seen that it's possible for you helpful types to provide radio codes for Ford Fiestas etc. I've just had to replace the battery on my daughter's 2002 Seat Ibiza and the radio has lost its code. We have had the car for 4 years and I'm convinced that I had the code somewhere but I can't find it. Is there anyone on this site that can provide Seat Ibiza radio codes and, if so, what do you need from me? -
Vauxhall Astra G Diesel - vauxhall astra diesel 1997 won't start 28 Oct 2015 (Forum)
Last night it wouldn't start and then this morning it started 3 times fine but now won't even turn over again. The battery doesn't seem to be a problem at all. I'm thinking possible ignition switch problem. The key operates the central locking fine (by turning it in the lock). Any ideas on some troubleshooting I can do? -

Peugeot 307cc - Engine light and rough idle 9 Feb 2015 (Forum)
Trouble is although it starts, the engine idles quite roughly and the light is on, on the dashboard. Any ideas as to what could be the problem? I haven't driven the car as yet. The battery was brand new, and I plan to check fuses and stuff, before I call out a mech. -
Peugeot 206 - Peugeot 206 wipers frozen then electrical fault 9 Dec 2014 (Forum)
All I got was a clicking in the general fuse box area. They eventually worked but now whilst driving all the electrics intermittantly fail ie speedometer, temperature, radio, headlights all cut out for a second then kick back in. Battery seems fine -car starts up first time and doesnt seem to be a fuse because everything works when tested. Anyone have any ideas because if I drive at night it will look like i am flashing my headlights at everyone -
Volvo V70 D4 SE Luxe - stop start function 10 Nov 2014 (Forum)
I realise there are many situations, such as temperature variation in the passenger cabin, heated screen on, battery low when the stop function is not meant ot operate. Sometimes the stop soes not operate for several days despite some long journeys then it seems to work normally for a while. The dealer implied there is probably a factor which I am unaware of such as a bit of misting on the screen which is stopping the stop function operating but I'm not convinced. -
Chrysler Voyager (1997 - 2001) - 1997 - Immobiliser problems 19 Oct 2014 (Forum)
hello, just wondered if anyone has had anything similar, my mums grand voyager wont start because of the immobiliser (we believe) both key fobs are not working, so she opens doors manually with key but when it comes to start the vehicle the immobiliser always cuts in? we have tried changing battery in both fobs, but neither work, so the poor vehicle is sat on her driveway not able to start. Just wondered if anyone knew the best way to sort the problem out? we can't take it down to chrysler garage as its auto and wont tow? -
renault clio - wiring rear fog lights 3 Aug 2014 (Forum)
If i put a wire to the fuse box and directly to the rear fog light it works properly through the switch. I was wondering the wiring should go battery, ignition, fuse box, then switch. I am wondering if anybody knows the wiring on a clio so i can make sure im tracing them. I would like to know the route and the colours of the wires at each stage. -

Nissan Micra 2003 (K12) - Locked out - emergency key doesn't open door? 11 Oct 2013 (Forum)
Hi all The battery died hence the remote central locking doesn't function. As per the manual, I popped off the cover on the emergency physical key lock on the passenger side, but although the key itself turns nice and freely it doesn't appear to 'catch' on anything, so I can't open the door. -

I have lost the programming for my remote key when I changed the battery. However when I press the buttons on the key I dont hear the second bong confirming the reprogramming and the fob still does not work. -
Renault Clio 1.2 RN petrol - Problems starting Car 19 Dec 2012 (Forum)
Starts great sometimes but sometimes it can take 30 or 40 turn overs till the car fires. We have changed the crank shaft sensor, earth lead from battery, checked wiring loom at bulkhead, fitted new Control Temperature Sensor but still having major problems. Had it linked up to computer diagnostics and its not showing any faults. Have read on this site about a quick fix via the ignition but not sure what the guys on about. -
Volvo V70 D5 2002 - Volvo V70 D5 2002 cold starting problem 5 Dec 2012 (Forum)
When parked outside overnight and the air temperature drops to freezing . . . the engine refuses to start. It turns over fine, but does not fire up; the battery is fine; the glow plus have been tested as OK. After a few hours and when the air temperature picks up, the engine starts. When the car has been garaged and the overnight air temperature falls to below freezing, the engine fires up OK.
