We do have an alternate car which ironically we were about to scrap. A 99 skoda octavia 146000 miles . It needs full set of brakes to pass its mot. We thought this is the better bet at mo. I just thought it would be nice to hear some other opinions. I still cant believe the hpfp has gone. The civic looks lovely, but is dead as dodo right now. -

VW Golf GL TDI 1996 - VW Golf GL TDI 1996 Cutting Out....Again.. 7 Jul 2012 (Forum)
Now its doing the random cutting out thing again, exactly the same thing, all power go`s,then when I pull over and turn off and leave for a minute, its then starts and runs ok.Had a look at relay 109,but it looks ok,no sign of melting like last time.Dont know if its connected but have also had intermittant flashing glow plug light for months now,VW have scanned it and got the brake light switch code, replaced with brand new VW brake light switch, still the intermittant flashing glow plug light remains, and still when scanned it gives BLS fault code. Is it possible the new type relay 109 is failing? -

skoda superb 1.9TDi 130 PD - electrical fault? 25 Apr 2011 (Forum)
and the glowplug light started to flash. I arrived home and resolved to contact my dealer. Later, when it was darker I noticed the brake lights were stuck on. After some pedal waggling they went off. Presumably a faulty micro switch. I wondered if the two are connected or just a coincidence. Could a faulty brake light switch cause the display to issue a warning? -

Drivers on Roundabouts - A moan! 15 Oct 2010 (Forum)
Then the driver in the left lane is to lazy to follow the left lane of the roundabout around (granted it may be quite a sharp deflection but its mainly car drivers who do this so not an excuse) so they cut straight across into the middle lane so as to follow a straight line across the roundabout and thus force the middle lane driver into the right lane or to brake as the right lane driver is already in the right hand lane on the roundabout. It restricts capacity and effectively makes the 3 lane roundabout a 2 lane roundabout! And don't get me started on the middle lane drivers who on their exit decide that they can just pull across into the left hand lane as they go into their exit arm thus forcing the left hand lane drivers (if they have followed the correct path) to brake!
