Newer sporty car / convertible.... with towbar 5 Apr 2021 (Forum)

Any - Tell DVLA you've sold a vehicle 21 Nov 2017 (Forum)
However, I've noticed there is a page on the DVLA website that you can use to notify them online: https://www.gov.uk/sold-bought-vehicle It says "You can’t use this service if you’ve already sent your log book (V5C) by post." so I assume you shouldn't post in the section at all if you use the website. Does this automatically trigger a refund of the unused part of the vehicle tax, or do you need to claim that separately? -

The car had no paper present (no conformity certificate, no logbook, ..) but I learned it was a UK car before, registered in the UK. I've seen it's possible to ask it online at the DVLA but apparently you must have a UK address...
