• 1.2 TSI or 1.4 TSI 6 Mar 2019 (Forum)
  Considering a Seat Leon ST for my next car and are look for a petrol version, would prefer the 1.4 as I do occasionally tow a 500kg trailer, otherwise just 2 up with occasional 4 passengers and luggage but there are more 1.2 TSI for sale. By buying a 1.2TSI would I be massively short changing myself? Thanks

  my car last stopped on wednesday, towed back home, dead battery, Changed battery, but still will not start, and there is a beeping from engine compartment,immobilizer maybe/ how can i reset immobilizer/

  vehicle starts immeadiatly when the glow plug light works engin turns over on the starter with no problem the vehicle starts immeadiatly with a tow or push eg within 5M

  Hi  I need to remove the rear bumper on my 51 reg jaguar 2.5 saloon so i can fit a tow bar, can anyone tell me how to take the rear bumper off, and where the fixings are ?  thanks in advance,  Dennis

  took car out to town ,parked up,returned to car but it refused to start.8888 appeared on dash then returned to normal but car will not turn over.turn the key and nothing happens.any help as going nuts,checked fuses,diconnected battery then reconnected but still the same had to be towed home.thanks

  I have had problems with my 03 mondeo with bad batch of fuel now i have emtied the fuel out and put  fresh in but won`t start i have towed it and got it started but it smokes really bad and i have a knocking coming from the engine can anyone help to what they think is wrong .

  followed a big camper van yesterday, instead of the usual smartcar or micra, this one was towing a trike. It got me wondering what the point was: it's as wide as a car so no use for filtering through traffic. you sit low down so you get all the fumes you're exposed to the weather maybe I'm getting old

  Can I be the only person to have filled my diesel with un-leaded petrol after a hard days work...... i've been told there is a cheap warning device that fits on the fuel filler cap ? anyone have any ideas ? please. it's getting expensive having the car towed - again thanks j

  Hang on a minute! I'm not a customer! I'm a long suffering car owner who is threatened to have have my car towed away and crushed if I don't pay up. Jeeze! Customer? PAH!

  my suzuki alto was towed into a suzuki main dealer by the aa as a none starter(aa man said no fuel being delivered fuel pump working though)after 3 hours labour they said ecu was the problem.with them knowing about the car as a main dealer for suzuki and having all the latest diagnostic machines is this time excessive?

  I just caught sight of a Citroen 2CV towing a caravan. As if this wasn't an absurd enough thing in the first place, I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that I'm pretty sure the caravan must have been extendable or something, unless you're supposed to sleep with your feet sticking out of a window.

  Apparently only a Nossan dealer can do this and unfortunately the nearest is 180 miles away. I don't fancy towing or trailering the car all the way there, any ideas??

  Insurance companies always ask you this, but where do they draw the line? I am certain they want to know about the hot cam or chip, but what about the alloys or tow bar, or even the spoiler? Also, where do you stand if the last owner has fitted something you don't know about because he didn't mention it, then it is 'discovered' following an accident?

  We need a new lwb hi-top van to tow the rally car (about £2-3k) (our F reg Ducato has finally died) Anyone got any experiences of Ducato/Boxer/Citroen equivalent Iveco Daily Transit Any other ideas? Any web sites which give specs of vans?

  I recently bought a tow bar, for my Citroen Xantia td estate. Where can I get advise on wiring the socket please. For example does the wiring loom for all the rear lights go to one corner and then over to the other side? This would enable me to wire from just one side.

  But luckily, apparently a new directive within VW regarding this specific issue is to reimburse100% of the cost! If this happens to you, remember to have the car towed to an official VW garage first to start the procedure and rand VW customer care straight away. Hope this post is helpfull!

  Around 10 months ago my van started blowing out black smoke and running flat out whilst on a journey. I managed to bring the van to a halt as was towed to our local citroen garage where i was informed the engine had run on its own oil due to oil overfill and that had blown the pistons. The garage charged me £2300 to repair the engine.

  I drove from there to my house, again reversed in to my driveway and they weren't working. They haven't worked since. I do have a Peugeot fixed tow bar and electrics fitted. And I do tow a caravan. And the sensors have intermittently stopped working after I unplugged the caravans electrics. but when I turned the car off and on again they worked.

  The garage towed it in again and had been looking at it for a week but could not fix it and gave up. They claim that unlike during the first visit the diagnostic tool did not show any error codes. They also tried to run it with fuel relay bypassed but it did not make any difference.
