  Iguess it's to do with lack of concern for other road users - after all it rarely affects whoever's driving .

  I thought it was part of the bed-in process so I ignored it. Now, I noticed another squeaking while I was driving normally. It would squeak when I am driving in a straight line or NOT touching the brakes. It would stop squeaking when I go round a corner or touch the brakes very lightly. What is more interesting, as mentioned above the squeaking would stop when touch the brakes very lightly, then start squeaking when I brake slightly harder, then it would stop when I brake slightly harder still.

  I am no mechanic but i need to have as many reaons as possible to hit him with so that he can't balme me... I was driving along and then the engine became "clunky" , smoke coming out exhaust BUT NO INDICATION OF OVER HEATING!!!! What could have caused it? Could it have been soemthing I did? is it reasonable that a car should do this after only five week driving?

  Bye bye ancient Porche 911 (not got the bottle or the wallet AND no room in the back). The short list now reads Peugeot 206 1.4HDi as a good compromise on looks, accomodation, driving position, equipment and economy. Trouble is, I can't find any write-ups about the Pug 206 with the 1.4 HDi engine. Does anyone have one they can tell me about? Can anyone give me a link to a test drive?

  This was a loaded weapon since the commentary stated that the handguns and rifle are kept loaded. Surely, the driver was not concentrating wholly on his driving whilst putting his gun away. Hopefully the safety catch was on but even so surely this is a most dangerous thing to do, especially as the car was travelling at speed on its way to an incident.

  Can anyone explain to me how overdrive worked / works. I know that many 60 / 70s cars had overdrive, some on both 3rd and 4th giving in effect 6 speeds. Indeed...

  driving 70 or 80 miles for dinner is not considerd strange in parts of the west... where I live on this Island Super Unleaded is 55 cents a liter but distances one travels are low... and right now there are places in the US where it can be as cheap as 30 cents/liter but these tend to be places where the next farm is 20 miles away and the town is 50...

  Result: drivers behind instinctivly hit their brakes for no good reason, and this passes down the line until in extreme cases, traffic stops. Is this a likely happening, of is it always that everybody drives too close? Except me of course! Phil.

  In contrast the 'new' Passat, Volvo V70 and Rover 75 seemed very well put together from high quality materials.....surely the Rover or Passat is a better buy if not a better drive?

  When driving car monday pm (no problems all morning or previously), the car started losing power if for example you are driving along in 3rd gear 25mph and put your foot down it accelerates to 37-42mph and thenstarts to slow down and if the throttle is kept fully pressed slows down to13mph and will start to kangaroo.
