Ford Mondeo III (2000 - 2007) - Common rail crap or what. Views please! 6 Jul 2008 (Forum)
However, I think the key point is that they havn't taken into consideration those cars operating at 80k+ miles. This in my research seems to be the danger zone for fuel systems. Moved on to looking at Mazda 6 (imagined great reliability through out) BUT lots of fleet managers and posts relating to complete engine failure around the 90k plus end. Engine closely realted to fords (both companies in bed together these days). -

Any - Breakdown cover again - excess discounts 15 Mar 2022 (Forum)
I liked the idea of Xileno’s choice in an old thread, Start Rescue at £30 for my 2018 but unfortunately another £48 for the wife’s 2012 Mazda. I thought I would try elsewhere. However Green flag were £98 including a £25 arrangement fee, bit of a cheek charging me for their cost of sale. Auto aid looked promising at about £60 with free spouse cover according to their ad. -
Honda CR-V - Petrol Estate or SUV 35mpg+ capable around £3k 23 Sep 2020 (Forum)
Using this web's real mpg as a beacon I am thinking of the following models which I like Honda CR-V MK3 (2007-) 2.0 Vtec Honda Accord Estate MK4 (I think) (2008-) 2.0 Vtec Ford Mondeo Estate MK3 VAG line up with the 1.4 TSI or even the 1.8 TSI Volvo V50 1.6 When browsing I also looked kindly at the Mazda 6 which adopted euro 6 in 2012 but I am worried about getting stuck with DPF issues and else. and they are more on the £4500 region and up The Astra Van also adopted Euro 6 with the 1.6 CDTI as early as 2013 but I don't like that much.
