Ordered an EV in December 2021, am I still eligible for the plug-in car grant?

December last year I ordered a Skoda EV which was eligible for the £2,500 plug-in car grant but it still hasn't been delivered yet due to production problems. Delivery is not likely to happen for several months yet and I want to know whether the grant will still be paid no matter when it finally arrives?

Yes, your Skoda will still qualify for the grant provided the order was placed, the contract was signed and the dealer submitted a request on the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) portal before the grant was changed. If the latter wasn't done before it's arguably the dealer's fault and a complaint should be made.

I was expecting to see a £2,500 reduction on our invoice for the price of the car. Instead, I see £2083.33 to which they add VAT, to make £2,500. Shouldn't I expect the whole £2,500 off the price?
I signed the order and a £500 deposit for the new MG ZS long range in December, am I still OK for the £2,500 plug-in car grant?
I just took delivery of a pre-registered electric car and the Government has announced an extension to the £1,500 plug-in car grant. How do I apply?
