  If I do this of course I'm left with no towbar and four 10mm holes in the boot. No wise cracks please about wanting to fit a tow bar to this little car as this is only going to used to pull a single bike trailer so I can get my "Honda Fireblade" to track days.

  Hi the oil light didn't come on and I ran out if oil whiskt driving heard a small rattling then car stalled and had to be towed it won't start now any ideas on how to for this will I just put more oil in it?.

  My nephew crashed badly and organized for the vehicle to be towed to a garage.  The insurance company inspected the car and decided that they won't pay out (one worn tyre).  The insurance then took the car away to their depot but without notifying or asking for permission to do this.

  Now the weather is getting colder the van will not start in the morning. It turns over fine, but will not fire. It will start with a tow, then run all day. Next day it will be the same thing in the morning. Any clue what to look for?

  I want to carry my mobility scooter on the tow bar instead of struggling to get it in the boot. I need something along the lines of a bike carrier but with a platform instead of bike racks. It would also need to fold up against the back of the car when its not in use.

  A mate of mine is fitting a tow bar to his X plt Citroen Dispatch Van. Anyone know what the wiring colours are for the rear lamps, ie: stop lights, tail and flashers etc of the van. He cannot see a plug-in socket as most cars of today have, if there is one.

  I have a Audi100/A6 1993 2,5TDI 5 cylinder straight 6 Speed box. The problem is that it starts choking at 400rpm. higher range needed for towing ease. Can some one help in curing this problem. Could it be filters or turbo?

  I have a problem with my Clio, went to start it this morning and it has just makes a clicking sound. We have tried to jump start but nothing. Anything else i can try. Really can't afford to get in towed to a garage. Thanks.

  (This spurred by somebody suggesting that I might like to tow a particular trailer.) Why on earth is there no MOT for trailers? Large numbers are driven around (not by members of the BR) on ancient tyres with flattened edges, and rusted up brakes. What is there to suggest that it is appropriate to let these things out on the road without being inspected annually?

  I have been offered 6 month old zafira with a factory fitted towbar,the price list states that heavy duty rear springs are included. Will the ride be much harsher than a standard sprung model when not towing.

  The AA man suspects the Turbo...I suspect huge hole in bank balance imminent. Anyway 6 1/2 hours after calling the AA at the roadside in Moreton-in-Marsh, and two broken down tow trucks later, we were finally taken 100-odd miles home by taxi, and the car was taken to the local main dealer (where it was bought 2nd hand 2 years ago) about 4am this morning. But I digress. I called the dealer this morning and a friend has dropped the key to them.

  We need to buy a Pick-up truck to tow a 2 horse trailer. It will not do many miles of ordinary motoring. It seems that the best choices are a Mitsibushi L200, a Nissan Navara, or a Isuzu Rodeo. We have funds of approx. £8,000. Also what are the implications of the proposed new tax bandings on these vehicles?
